Among the aesthetic beauties of the Prophetic biography.
Food security.
Islam legislated the blessed zakat.
So that our wealth may be purified.
And our character may be refined.
And that we may feel for our brothers.
And that we may cultivate generosity and charity.
And chivalry and magnanimity.
There is also another form of brotherly cooperation.
And faith-based interconnectedness.
Which is sharing during times of military campaigns and hardships.
The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, says.
Praising a group of people.
And commending their bond and faith-based connection.
"When the Ash'ari tribe ran low on provisions during a campaign.
Or when the food for their families in Medina ran short.
They would gather whatever they had in a single cloth.
Then they would divide it among themselves in one vessel equally.
They are of me, and I am of them."
They were in need, their food was scarce, and their numbers were many.
But blessing lies in the community.
And the food of two is sufficient for four.
Therefore, they would resort to partnership and division.
So that the bounty might spread and blessing might descend.
In this is an embodiment of brotherhood and religious cohesion.
And the rejection of selfishness and individualistic greed.
And that the individual is part of a cohesive faith-based bloc.
Allah the Almighty says: ﴾The believers are but brothers﴿.
Such qualities strengthen the bond.
And bless the food, and remove estrangement and discord.
Everyone strives for unity and mutual support.
Through it, the rich feel for the poor.
The strong for the weak, and the elder for the younger.
And that all blessings are from Allah.
And hoarding them or monopolizing them is among the destructive sins.
And a cause for the disappearance of blessing from them.
Which is something that contradicts the characteristics of the Muslim society.
And Allah is the Grantor of success.
