Ithaf Al-Barara with the ten biographies of the Qur’a
Translated by Imam bin Kathir al-Makki
He is Abu Ma'bad Abdullah bin Kathir al-Dari al-Makki
He was called Al-Dari because he was a perfumer
The Arabs call Al-Attar Daria
Named after Darin, a place in Bahrain from which perfume is brought
Al-Dari was said to refer to Banu Abd al-Dar
May God have mercy on him, he was born in Mecca in the year 45 AH and was originally from Persia
He was eloquent, eloquent, and had a white, brown beard
It is dyed with henna, giving it peace and dignity
Among the companions he met Abdullah bin Al-Zubair and Abu Ayyub bin Al-Ansari
And forget bin Malik, may God be pleased with them
The reading was presented by Abdullah bin Al-Sa'ib Al-Makhzoumi
Mujahid bin Jabr and Darbas, Mawla bin Abbas
Ibn Al-Sa'ib read to Ubayy Ibn Ka'b and Omar Ibn Al-Khattab
Mujahid read on Ibn Al-Sa'ib and Ibn Abbas
Ibn Abbas read to Ubayy Ibn Ka'b and Zaid Ibn Thabit
Zaid, Ubayy and Omar recited to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Ibn Mujahid said: He continued to be the imam with whom people gathered to recite in Mecca until he died
Al-Asma’i said: I told Abu Omar that I read about Ibn Kathir
He said: Yes, I concluded it with Ibn Kathir after I read it with Mujahid
He was more knowledgeable in Arabic than Mujahid
Ibn Uyaynah said, “There was no one in Mecca who was more literate than Humaid bin Qais and Abdullah bin Katheer.”
Imam Al-Shafi’i transmitted Ibn Kathir’s reading and praised it and said:
Our reading is the reading of Abdullah bin Katheer, and upon it I found the people of Mecca
He narrated many stories from reading about him
Among them are Imam Abu Omar bin Al-Ala, Shibl bin Abbad, Marouf bin Mishkan, Ismail Al-Qust, and others
He died, may God have mercy on him, in the year one hundred and twenty AH, at the age of seventy-five years

He is Abu Al-Hassan Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Abdullah Ibn Al-Qasim Bin Nafi Ibn Abi Bazza
The name of Abu Bazza Bashar is Persian in origin
He returned, may God have mercy on him, in Mecca in the year one hundred and seventy AH
He is the greatest narrator of the recitation of Imam Abdullah bin Katheer
He was an imam in recitation, verified, precise, proficient, trustworthy, and had a Sunnah
He became the Iqra chieftain in Mecca, and he was the muezzin of the Grand Mosque for forty years
May God have mercy on him, he read to Abdullah bin Ziyad, the client of Ubaid bin Umair Al-Laithi
And Ikrimah bin Sulaiman, Mawla bin Shaybah, Abu Al-Ikhrit, Wahb bin Wadh, and others
Abu Rabia Muhammad bin Ishaq Al-Rab’i read to him
And Ishaq bin Ahmed Al-Khuza’i, Ahmed bin Faraj, Al-Hasan bin Al-Hubab and others
He died, may God have mercy on him, in the year two hundred and fifty AH

I seek refuge in God from the accursed Satan, in the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O you who have believed, spend from the good things you have earned
And from what We brought out for you from the earth
And do not spend from the evil one
And you will not take it unless you immerse yourself in it
And they knew that God is Rich, Praiseworthy
Satan promises you poverty and commands you to commit immorality
And God promises you His forgiveness and bounty
And God is All-Encompassing and All-Knowing
He gives wisdom to whomever He wishes
Whoever is given wisdom has been given much good
Only those of noble character are mentioned
He is Abu Omar Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Khaled bin Saeed
Makhzoumi with loyalty
He was called Qanbul because he was one of the people called Qanbalah, but other things were said
He was born, may God have mercy on him, in the year 95 and 100 AH in Mecca
He was an imam in reading, proficient and disciplined
The Iqra chiefdom ended up in Hijaz
People traveled to him from all over the world
He, may God have mercy on him, recited to Abu Al-Hasan Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Qawwas, the companion of Abu Al-Ikhrit
He succeeded him in the Iqra after his death
He was one of the people of virtue, goodness and righteousness
The police were in Mecca
Because of his knowledge of limits and provisions
They assigned it to him because of his knowledge and his favor with them
He grew old and weak
He stopped reading seven years before his death

Say: Have you seen that God made the night eternal over you until the Day of Resurrection?
Is there a god other than God who brings you light?
Will you not listen?
Say: Have you seen that God made the day eternal for you until the Day of Resurrection?
Is there a god other than God who will bring you a night in which you can rest?
Will you not see?
And out of His mercy, He made for you night and day so that you may rest in it
And that you may seek His bounty, and that you may be grateful
May God reward our Imams with good deeds
We convey the Qur’an sweetly and smoothly
