Forty hadiths on the virtue of charity
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
It makes me happy to receive gold from someone
You come to me a third time
I have a dinar of it
Except a dinar that I reserve for a debt he owes.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim
Ibn al-Qayyim, may God have mercy on him, said
Giving and charity were the most beloved things to him, may God bless him and grant him peace
He was pleased and happy with what he was given
Greater than the pleasure of the one who takes what he takes
He was the most generous of people
His right hand is like a blowing wind
Whenever he was presented to him, he was in need
He preferred it to himself
Sometimes with his food
Sometimes in his clothes
And he, may God bless him and grant him peace
He orders and encourages charity
He calls for it with his condition and words
Therefore, peace and blessings of God be upon him

And he blessed them with a heart
