Allah is Strong, Almighty.” (58:21) 00:04:49.970 --> 00:04:56.970 That victory belongs to Him, His Book, His messengers, and His believing servants in this world and the Hereafter, 00:04:56.970 --> 00:04:59.970 and that the ultimate outcome belongs to the righteous. 00:04:59.970 --> 00:05:02.970 Whoever reflects on the story of Talut (Saul), 00:05:02.970 --> 00:05:07.970 and his battle against the disbelieving king of the pagan giants, Jalut (Goliath), 00:05:07.970 --> 00:05:10.970 sees how the small group of believers, 00:05:10.970 --> 00:05:12.970 after steadfastness and patience, 00:05:12.970 --> 00:05:15.970 and the realization of servitude and obedience, 00:05:15.970 --> 00:05:18.970 triumphed over the disbelieving group, 00:05:18.970 --> 00:05:21.970 despite their strength, numbers, and equipment. 00:05:21.970 --> 00:05:23.970 The Almighty says: 00:05:23.970 --> 00:05:29.189 "And when they went out against Jalut and his soldiers, 00:05:30.189 --> 00:05:37.189 they said, 'Our Lord, pour upon us patience, 00:05:37.189 --> 00:05:44.189 and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.'" 00:05:44.189 --> 00:05:49.189 So they defeated them by the permission of Allah, 00:05:49.189 --> 00:05:52.189 and Dawud (David) killed Jalut. 00:05:52.189 --> 00:05:59.189 “So they routed them by Allah's leave and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him the kingdom and wisdom, and taught him of that which He willeth. And if Allah had not repelled some men by others the earth would have been corrupted. But Allah is a Lord of Kindness to (His) creatures.” (2:251) 00:05:59.189 --> 00:06:04.189 And He taught him of what He willed. 00:06:04.189 --> 00:06:10.189 "And were it not for Allah checking [some] people by means of others..." 00:06:10.189 --> 00:06:17.189 “So they routed them by Allah's leave and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him the kingdom and wisdom, and taught him of that which He willeth. But Allah is a Lord of Kindness to (His) creatures.” (2:251) 00:06:17.189 --> 00:06:21.189 He is a bounty to the worlds. 00:06:21.189 --> 00:06:26.509 Therefore, when the Prophet, peace be upon him, addressed his Companions, 00:06:26.509 --> 00:06:32.509 as recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim from the hadith of Abdullah Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, 00:06:32.509 --> 00:06:34.509 by saying to them: 00:06:34.509 --> 00:06:36.509 "You will fight the Jews." 00:06:36.509 --> 00:06:38.509 And in another narration: 00:06:38.509 --> 00:06:42.509 "The Jews will fight you, and you will be given power over them." 00:06:42.509 --> 00:06:43.509 And in another narration: 00:06:43.509 --> 00:06:46.509 "You and the Jews will fight." 00:06:46.509 --> 00:06:48.509 And in another narration: 00:06:48.509 --> 00:06:52.509 "You will fight the Jews, but you will not kill them [all]." 00:06:52.509 --> 00:06:57.829 At the time of the address, the Jews had no presence in Palestine. 00:06:57.829 --> 00:07:00.829 And from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, 00:07:00.829 --> 00:07:04.829 that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: 00:07:04.829 --> 00:07:09.829 "The Hour will not begin until the Muslims fight the Jews, 00:07:09.829 --> 00:07:11.829 and the Muslims will kill them, 00:07:11.829 --> 00:07:16.829 until the Jew hides behind a stone or a tree, 00:07:16.829 --> 00:07:18.829 and the stone or tree says: 00:07:18.829 --> 00:07:20.829 'O Muslim, O servant of Allah, 00:07:20.829 --> 00:07:23.829 this is a Jew behind me, 00:07:23.829 --> 00:07:25.829 so come and kill him,' 00:07:25.829 --> 00:07:27.829 except for the Gharqad tree, 00:07:27.829 --> 00:07:29.829 for it is one of the trees of the Jews." 00:07:29.829 --> 00:07:33.220 Even though in the time of the Companions, 00:07:33.220 --> 00:07:36.220 the Romans were in control of Palestine, 00:07:36.220 --> 00:07:42.220 the Prophet, peace be upon him, mentioned this as a miracle, 00:07:42.220 --> 00:07:46.220 and also to draw their attention—and to capture our attention— 00:07:46.220 --> 00:07:50.220 that the generation that fights the Jews and triumphs over them 00:07:50.220 --> 00:07:54.220 are men who carry the morals and characteristics of the Companions. 00:07:54.220 --> 00:07:57.220 So, whenever we achieve emulation of them, 00:07:57.220 --> 00:08:00.220 victory over the enemies is achieved, 00:08:00.220 --> 00:08:02.220 and the sanctities are reclaimed. 00:08:02.220 --> 00:08:04.310 Fourth: 00:08:04.310 --> 00:08:08.310 Unity of the ranks and the absence of conflict and division. 00:08:08.310 --> 00:08:10.310 The Almighty says: 00:08:10.310 --> 00:08:14.310 "And do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and then your strength would depart." 00:08:14.310 --> 00:08:20.310 “And obey Allah and His messenger, and dispute not one with another lest ye falter and your strength depart from you; but be steadfast! Lo! Allah is with the steadfast.” (8:46) 00:08:20.310 --> 00:08:22.540 Fifth: 00:08:22.540 --> 00:08:24.540 Patience and piety, 00:08:24.540 --> 00:08:26.540 and frequent remembrance of Allah and steadfastness. 00:08:26.540 --> 00:08:28.629 The Almighty says: 00:08:28.629 --> 00:08:33.629 "O you who have believed, 00:08:33.629 --> 00:08:37.629 when you encounter a force, 00:08:37.629 --> 00:08:40.629 stand firm and remember Allah much." 00:08:41.629 --> 00:08:47.629 “O ye who believe! When ye meet an army, hold firm and think of Allah much, that ye may be successful.” (8:45) 00:08:47.629 --> 00:08:51.759 Therefore, Nur al-Din Zengi, may Allah have mercy on him, 00:08:51.759 --> 00:08:55.759 who paved the way for Salah al-Din, may Allah have mercy on him, 00:08:55.759 --> 00:08:57.759 to liberate Jerusalem, 00:08:57.759 --> 00:09:00.759 worked on spreading knowledge and monotheism, 00:09:00.759 --> 00:09:02.759 bringing scholars close, 00:09:02.759 --> 00:09:04.759 and unifying the small states. 00:09:04.759 --> 00:09:09.759 Then the efforts culminated in the liberation of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. 00:09:09.759 --> 00:09:11.759 The Mufti of Jerusalem, 00:09:11.759 --> 00:09:14.759 Hajj Amin al-Husayni, may Allah have mercy on him, says: 00:09:14.759 --> 00:09:16.759 "Return to Allah, 00:09:16.759 --> 00:09:18.759 and you will return to Palestine." 00:09:18.759 --> 00:09:22.789 For victory is never achieved by wishing and desires, 00:09:22.789 --> 00:09:25.789 nor by slogans and calls, 00:09:25.789 --> 00:09:29.789 but by effort, seriousness, work, and jihad. 00:09:29.789 --> 00:09:33.789 Al-Aqsa Mosque will return, whether time is long or short, 00:09:33.789 --> 00:09:36.789 because the ultimate outcome belongs to the righteous. 00:09:39.549 --> 00:09:41.549 In conclusion, we say: 00:09:41.549 --> 00:09:45.549 Victory is only achieved by hands that have performed ablution, 00:09:45.549 --> 00:09:47.549 by foreheads that have prostrated, 00:09:47.549 --> 00:09:49.549 by pure souls, 00:09:49.549 --> 00:09:51.549 by sanctified bodies, 00:09:51.549 --> 00:09:54.740 and by guarded tongues. 00:09:54.740 --> 00:09:57.740 We ask Allah, the Almighty, 00:09:57.740 --> 00:10:00.740 to grant us sincerity in word and deed, 00:10:00.740 --> 00:10:03.740 to accept from us and from you, 00:10:03.740 --> 00:10:05.740 to employ us in His obedience, 00:10:05.740 --> 00:10:08.740 and to make us among those who listen to the word 00:10:08.740 --> 00:10:11.740 and follow the best of it. 00:10:11.740 --> 00:10:13.740 O Allah, liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque 00:10:13.740 --> 00:10:16.740 from the clutches of the usurpers, 00:10:16.740 --> 00:10:18.740 protect it from the plots of the aggressors 00:10:18.740 --> 00:10:21.740 and the conspiracy of the conspirators, 00:10:21.740 --> 00:10:24.740 and release it from captivity, soon and not later, 00:10:24.740 --> 00:10:26.740 O Lord of the worlds. 00:10:26.740 --> 00:10:28.779 O Allah, grant victory to 00:10:28.779 --> 00:10:30.779 and protect our brothers in Palestine. 00:10:30.779 --> 00:10:32.779 O Allah, make them steadfast, 00:10:32.779 --> 00:10:34.779 strengthen their hearts, 00:10:34.779 --> 00:10:36.779 help them, and be with them, 00:10:36.779 --> 00:10:38.779 unify their ranks, 00:10:38.779 --> 00:10:40.779 bring together their word, 00:10:40.779 --> 00:10:43.779 and unite their opinions upon the truth. 00:10:43.779 --> 00:10:46.809 O Allah, grant us all, therein, 00:10:46.809 --> 00:10:49.809 a prayer before death. 00:10:49.809 --> 00:10:52.809 And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, 00:10:52.809 --> 00:10:56.809 and upon all his family and companions. 00:10:56.809 --> 00:10:59.809 What an excellent place of prayer. 00:10:59.809 --> 00:11:02.809 We are a sun that does not set. 00:11:02.809 --> 00:11:05.809 If the caller calls, we answer. 00:11:05.809 --> 00:11:08.809 We return the stolen right. 00:11:08.809 --> 00:11:11.809 We support the beloved Al-Aqsa. 00:11:11.809 --> 00:11:15.809 In it, the best of creation prayed. 00:11:15.809 --> 00:11:18.809 It is an excellent place of prayer. 00:11:18.809 --> 00:11:21.809 The landing place of the trustworthy revelation. 00:11:21.809 --> 00:11:24.809 The sending place of the messengers. 00:11:24.809 --> 00:11:27.809 The qibla for the Muslims. 00:11:27.809 --> 00:11:31.809 The destination of the conquerors. 00:11:31.809 --> 00:11:34.809 In it, the best of creation prayed. 00:11:34.809 --> 00:11:37.809 It is an excellent place of prayer. 00:11:37.809 --> 00:11:40.809 It is an excellent place of prayer.
