I was the least of the people to him, and he was pleased with their gifts and gave them rewards
He gave me a small, unmentionable thing and we left him
My companions went to the market to buy gifts for their families, but none of them offered me sympathy
So they went out with wine and were drinking, so they agreed to kill them
So I pretended, tied my head and said, “I don’t need to drink, but I will give you something to drink.”
They did not deny it, so I started giving them something to drink and filling cup after cup for them
They drink and do not realize that they have fallen asleep drunk
He attacked them and killed them all
There were thirteen men, and you were taken with them
I was not able to return to my people after I did that
So I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Medina
I found him sitting in the mosque with his friends
So I greeted him and told him what I had done
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
As for your Islam, we accept it
We do not take anything from their money
Because this is treachery and there is no good in treachery
So it fell into my hand and I said
I killed them while following my national religion
Then the hour passed
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Islam is more important than what came before it
My uncle Urwa bin Masoud paid
Blood money for those people

Unless I found a way out for myself
And from that, Omar, may God be pleased with him

And he asked me
So I said
He lied, O Commander of the Faithful
But it was two hundred thousand
He said
What made you do this?
I said
Children and need
And now
Let them return it to the treasury
Omar said to Al-Alaj
What do you say?
He said
No
I swear to God, I will believe you
By God, he did not give me much or little
But it was a trick
So that he does not return to us
He looked at Omar and said
I didn't want to do this
I said
The villain lied to me
So I loved to shame him
