Why did the Americans invade Afghanistan?
The Americans invaded Afghanistan under the pretext of eradicating terrorism.
And to take revenge on those who bombed the World Trade Center towers in the year 2001.
And to empower women in Afghanistan to be liberated and grant them the opportunity for education.
Yet, if they truly wanted to educate women, they would have provided the Taliban government with the funds for that.
This would have been easier for them than the exorbitant cost of the invasion and the loss of many of their soldiers there.
Wesley Clark, the commander of NATO forces, declared the true reason behind the invasion.
He said, "Whoever thinks that we went to Afghanistan to take revenge for the events of September 11th,"
"should correct his mistake; we went to ward off a greater danger, which is Islam."
"We do not want Islam to remain a free project in which Muslims decide what Islam is."
"Rather, we are the ones who decide for them what Islam is."
It is regrettable that they have succeeded to a large extent in spreading their own concepts of Islam throughout the entire world.
For they have divided it into political Islam, moderate Islam, extremist Islam, and so on.
