Utbah bin Rabi’ah interviews the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
When Hamza and Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with them, converted to Islam
Islam is strong regarding them
Quraysh sent to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, Utbah bin Rabi’ah
To talk to him and give him and take from him
Narrated by Ibn Ishaq in his biography
On the authority of Muhammad bin Kaaben Al-Qardi, he said:
It happened that Utbah bin Rabi'ah was a master
He said one day while sitting in the Quraish club
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sitting in the mosque alone
O people of Quraysh!
Should I not go to Muhammad?
So I spoke to him and presented matters to him
Maybe he will accept some of them
So we give him whichever he wants, and he refrains from us
That is when Hamza converted to Islam
They saw the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, increasing and multiplying
They said, “Yes, Abu Al-Walid.”
Go to him and talk to him
So Utbah stood up to him
Until he sat next to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
And he said
My nephew
You are one of us, as you have learned of authority in the clan
And the place is in the lineage
You have come to your people with a great matter
It divided their group
And their dreams were fooled by him
Their gods and religion were mocked by him
And those of their fathers who passed away disbelieved in it
So listen to me
I offer you things to consider
Perhaps you will accept some of them
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Say, Abu Al-Walid
Listen
He said
My nephew
If you only want money with what you have brought from this matter
We collected our money for you
So that you may have more money than us
And if you want honor with it
We blacked you out
So that we do not cut off anything without you
And if you want a king with him
We have you over us
And if this is an opinion that comes to you, you will see it
You cannot return it to yourself
We ordered medicine for you
And we spent our money on it
Until we exonerate you from it
Perhaps the follower prevailed over the man
Until he is cured of it
Even if the threshold is empty
And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, listened to him
The Messenger of God said
I'm done, Abu Al-Walid
He said yes
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
So listen to me
He said
I do
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said

Most of them turn away, and they do not listen
Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, proceeded to recite it to him
When Utbah heard it from him
Listen to her
He put his hands behind his back, relying on what he heard from him
Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ended up prostrating from it
So he prostrated
Then he said
I have heard, O Abu Al-Walid, what I have heard
You and that
And in Al-Bayhaqi’s narration in his evidence
Until he reached the Messenger
If they turn away, say: I warn you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt of Aadh and Thamud
So Otba held on to it
Al-Rahim asked him to stop doing so
Then Utbah bin Rabi’ah came from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
And he went to his friends
They said to each other
We swear to God
Abu Al-Walid came to you with a different face than the one he came with
When he sat down to them, they said:
What's behind you, Abu Al-Walid?
He said
Behind me
I heard a saying
I swear I have never heard anything like it
By God, it is not poetry, magic, or divination
O people of Quraysh!
Obey me and do it through me
There is nothing between this man and what is in him
So they isolated him
By God, what I heard from him would be great news
If the Arabs pour it
You have sufficed for it with others
Even if it appears among the Arabs
His kingdom is yours
And His glory is your glory
And you were the happiest people with it
They said
I swear to God, Abu Al-Walid, he charmed you with his tongue
He said
This is my opinion about it
So do what you want
