The patience of choice is the one with which there are many deviations
Yet one chooses it and presents it in contrast to it
It includes patience in obedience and patience in refraining from sins
His example is in obedience
Fasting
Where a person withholds himself from food and drink by choice
In compliance with the assignment and desire for its reward
That is why the month of Ramadan is called the month of patience
His example is in sins
Joseph, peace be upon him, was patient about committing immoral acts with the wife of the Mighty One
Despite the many reasons for it
As for patience for the tarar
It is patience with the fates that befall a woman without her choosing
He has nothing but patience with her
And his example
Joseph, peace be upon him, was patient with his ordeal when his brothers harmed him
And in prison
Patience in making choices is more rewarding than patience in choosing
Because he was patient despite the presence of distractions from him
And in all goodness and great reward
