The Moderation of Ahl al-Sunnah Regarding the Role of Reason

00:00:12.769 --> 00:00:17.539
The concept of reason and its role according to Ahl al-Sunnah wa-l-Jama'ah

00:00:17.539 --> 00:00:21.539
represents a middle path between those who exaggerated its importance, giving it precedence over revelation,

00:00:21.539 --> 00:00:26.539
and those who neglected it, disregarding its role in understanding the texts

00:00:26.539 --> 00:00:29.539
and in deducing their legal rulings and underlying wisdoms,

00:00:29.539 --> 00:00:34.539
thus surrendering themselves to superstitions, charlatanism, and illusions.
