What is the reward for the expiation of a gathering?
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Whoever sits in a gathering wherein there is much idle talk,
and says before standing up from that gathering of his:
'Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You.
I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except You.
I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance,'
except that he will be forgiven for whatever occurred in that gathering of his."
