But We suffer those who look not for the meeting with Us to wander blindly on in their contumacy.” (10:11) 00:00:32.799 --> 00:00:35.600 Their appointed time would have been decreed for them. 00:00:35.880 --> 00:00:44.640 “If Allah were to hasten on for men the ill (that they have earned) as they would hasten on the good, their respite would already have expired. Say: Would ye inform Allah of (something) that He knoweth not in the heavens or in the earth? Say: Would ye inform Allah of (something) that He knoweth not in the heavens or in the earth? Praised be He and High Exalted above all that ye associate (with Him)!” (10:18) 00:08:08.819 --> 00:08:15.540 Exalted and high is He above what they associate with Him. 00:08:17.379 --> 00:08:21.220 These polytheists worship, O Muhammad, besides Allah, 00:08:21.699 --> 00:08:26.500 That which neither harms them nor benefits them in this world or the Hereafter. 00:08:27.139 --> 00:08:33.139 And they say, "They were worshipping them in the hope of their intercession with Allah." 00:08:33.929 --> 00:08:39.610 Say to them, "Do you inform Allah of something that does not exist in the heavens or on the earth?" 00:08:40.250 --> 00:08:45.769 This is because these deities do not intercede for them with Allah in the heavens or on the earth. 00:08:46.580 --> 00:08:50.899 The polytheists used to claim that they would intercede for them with Allah. 00:08:51.620 --> 00:08:57.620 Rather, Allah knows that this is contrary to what you say, and that they do not intercede for anyone. 00:08:58.419 --> 00:09:05.860 Exalted is Allah, and far above what these polytheists do in fabricating lies against Him. 00:09:07.620 --> 00:09:15.620 “Mankind were but one community; then they differed; and had it not been for a word that had already gone forth from thy Lord it had been judged between them in respect of that wherein they differ.” (10:19) 00:09:15.940 --> 00:09:25.620 “Mankind were but one community; then they differed; and had it not been for a word that had already gone forth from thy Lord it had been judged between them in respect of that wherein they differ.” (10:19) 00:09:26.950 --> 00:09:31.590 Mankind was but one community with one religion, 00:09:32.230 --> 00:09:36.789 Then they differed in their religion, and the paths diverged for them in that regard. 00:09:37.590 --> 00:09:44.230 And had it not been for a word that preceded from Allah that He would not destroy a people until their appointed time had passed, 00:09:44.710 --> 00:09:50.710 It would have been judged between them by destroying the people of falsehood among them and saving the people of truth. 00:09:52.899 --> 00:10:14.539 “And they will say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Then say, (O Muhammad): The Unseen belongeth to Allah. So wait! Lo! I am waiting with you.” (10:20) 00:10:15.909 --> 00:10:26.309 And these polytheists say, "Why has no sign or proof been sent down to Muhammad so that we may know that Muhammad is truthful in what he says?" 00:10:27.320 --> 00:10:37.240 So say, O Muhammad, "No one knows how to do that except Him, for no one knows the unseen and hidden matters except Allah." 00:10:38.039 --> 00:10:44.840 So wait, O people, for the judgment of Allah between us by hastening His punishment for the one among us who is in falsehood, 00:10:45.559 --> 00:10:51.159 And by manifesting the one who is truthful over him; I am with you among those who wait for that. 00:10:52.860 --> 00:11:12.059 “And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy after some adversity which had afflicted them, behold! they have some plot against Our revelations. Say: Allah is more swift in plotting. Lo! O mankind! Your rebellion is only against yourselves. (Ye have) enjoyment of the life of the world; then unto Us is your return and We shall proclaim unto you what ye used to do.” (10:23) 00:14:09.379 --> 00:14:19.379 But when Allah saves those who thought in the sea that they were encompassed, they break their promise to Allah and commit injustice upon the earth. 00:14:20.340 --> 00:14:26.340 They transgress therein in ways other than what Allah has permitted them, through disbelief and the commission of His acts of disobedience. 00:14:28.340 --> 00:14:32.340 O people, your transgression is only against your own selves. 00:14:34.340 --> 00:14:38.340 This which you are in is a provision you enjoy in your fleeting worldly life, 00:14:40.340 --> 00:14:42.340 Then to Us is your return after that, 00:14:44.340 --> 00:14:48.340 And We will inform you on the Day of Resurrection of what you used to do in the world of disobedience to Allah, 00:14:50.340 --> 00:14:53.269 Concerning the deeds you have committed. 00:14:55.269 --> 00:15:09.269 “The similitude of the life of the world is only as water which We send down from the sky, then the earth's growth of that which men and cattle eat mingleth with it till, when the earth hath taken on her ornaments and is embellished, and her people deem that they are masters of her, Our commandment cometh by night or by day and We make it as reaped corn as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain the signs for a people who give thought. 00:16:00.360 --> 00:16:07.029 The likeness of what you boast of in the world and take pride in, of its adornment and wealth, 00:16:09.029 --> 00:16:11.029 Along with what is entrusted to it of disturbance and distress, 00:16:11.990 --> 00:16:15.990 Is like rain which We send down from the sky to the earth, 00:16:17.990 --> 00:16:21.990 And there grows by that rain various types of plants, intermingled with one another, 00:16:23.990 --> 00:16:27.990 Until when the beauty and splendor of the earth appear and it is adorned, 00:16:29.990 --> 00:16:31.990 And the people of the earth think that they have power over what it has produced, 00:16:33.990 --> 00:16:35.990 Our command comes to the earth, destroying what is upon it of vegetation, 00:16:37.990 --> 00:16:39.990 Either by night or by day, 00:16:41.990 --> 00:16:43.990 So We make what is upon it cut down, uprooted from its foundations, 00:16:45.990 --> 00:16:51.990 As if those crops and plants had not been growing and standing on the earth just the day before. 00:16:53.990 --> 00:16:55.990 Just as We have explained to you, O people, the likeness of the world, 00:16:57.990 --> 00:17:01.990 So do We explain Our proofs and evidences for those who reflect and take heed. 00:17:05.079 --> 00:17:07.079 “And Allah summoneth to the abode of peace, and leadeth whom He will to a straight path.” (10:25) 00:17:09.079 --> 00:17:11.079 And He guides whom He wills. 00:17:13.079 --> 00:17:21.079 “And Allah summoneth to the abode of peace, and leadeth whom He will to a straight path.” (10:25) 00:17:23.690 --> 00:17:25.690 O people, do not seek the world and its adornment, 00:17:27.690 --> 00:17:29.690 For its end is destruction and passing away. 00:17:31.690 --> 00:17:33.690 But seek the everlasting Hereafter, 00:17:35.690 --> 00:17:37.690 For Allah invites you to His abode, 00:17:39.690 --> 00:17:41.690 Which is the Paradise He has prepared for His allies, 00:17:43.690 --> 00:17:45.690 From among His creation, and He grants them success in finding the straight path, 00:17:47.690 --> 00:17:51.690 Which is Islam, which He has made a means to reach His pleasure. 00:17:55.220 --> 00:17:57.220 A summary of the Tafsir of al-Tabari.
