The Enduring Good Deeds The Reward for the Dawn and Afternoon Prayers Jareer (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: "We were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he looked at the moon on a full-moon night. He said: 'You will surely see your Lord just as you see this moon, and you will suffer no harm or difficulty in seeing Him. So if you can avoid being overcome and missing a prayer before the rising of the sun and before its setting, then do so.' He then recited: ﴿And glorify the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.﴾ “Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;” (50:39) Isma'il said: 'Meaning: do so, and do not let them slip away from you.' Narrated by Al-Bukhari."
