In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
A Summary of the Prophetic biography (Seerah).
His uncle’s guardianship.
Abu Talib.
Abu Talib took over the guardianship of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
At that time, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was eight years old.
He continued to provide him with guardianship, care, and protection,
until the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was sent as a prophet.
He shielded him with the utmost protection,
and supported him with the greatest support when Allah sent him.
When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, reached the age of twelve,
his uncle Abu Talib took him out on a journey to the Levant (al-Sham).
This was a testament to the complete kindness Abu Talib showed toward the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,
as there was no one else to look after him had he left him behind in Makkah.
During this journey, a monk named Bahira saw him.
He recognized him by his descriptions in the Torah and the Gospel.
The signs regarding the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, became apparent to those who were with Abu Talib,
which only increased Abu Talib’s attachment to him and his concern for him.
Bahira instructed Abu Talib to return with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,
so that the Jews in the Levant would not see him,
recognize him, and kill him.
So, he returned with him to Makkah.
