A summary of the concepts of Ahl al-Sunnah
Taking means does not mean relying solely on them.
Taking means is based on the principle that one of Allah's established ways is the connection of outcomes to their causes.
It does not mean relying solely on them or being attached to them.
Without believing that the realization of a matter is by Allah's will and wisdom.
Meaning, no one should believe that as long as they have taken the necessary means,
then what they intended must come to pass, without needing Allah's will in that.
This attachment to means in that manner is considered polytheism (shirk).
Just as completely abandoning means is forbidden in the Sharia,
and denying their effect contradicts reason.
For means have an effect on outcomes,
but only after Allah's will and decree.
Just as the servant has a will and desire,
which is after Allah's will and decree.
