In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Muhammad is the Messenger.
The Concise Biography of the Prophet.
Authored by Sheikh Musa bin Rashid Al-Azmi,
may Allah protect him.
The number of martyrs at the Battle of Uhud.
The number of martyrs at the Battle of Uhud reached
seventy martyrs.
And the majority of them were from the Ansar.
Imam Al-Bukhari narrated in his Sahih,
from Qatadah, who said:
Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated to us
that seventy of them were killed on the day of Uhud.
Meaning, from the Ansar.
Al-Hafiz said in Al-Fath:
The apparent wording of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him,
indicates that all of them were from the Ansar.
And so it was, except for a few.
Imam Al-Tirmidhi narrated in his Jami',
and Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad with a hasan chain of narration,
from Ubayy bin Ka'b, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
When the day of Uhud came,
sixty-four men from the Ansar were killed,
and six from the Muhajirun.
The number of pagans killed.
Ibn Ishaq said:
So, all those whom Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, killed
on the day of Uhud from the pagans
were twenty-two men.
The Messenger's praise, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
for his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic.
When the affair of this great battle concluded,
and before the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, returned
to Medina,
he ordered his Companions to stand in formation
so that he could praise his Lord, the Glorified.
Imam Ahmad narrated,
and Al-Hakim narrated in Al-Mustadrak with a sahih chain of narration,
from Rifaa'ah bin Rafi' Al-Zuraqi, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
When the day of Uhud came,
and the pagans retreated,
the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
Stand in formation until I praise my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic.
So they stood behind him in rows.
Then he said:
O Allah, to You is all praise.
O Allah, none can withhold what You have bestowed,
nor bestow what You have withheld.
and no guide for whom You have sent astray.
and no misleader for whom You have guided.
and no giver for what You have withheld.
and no withholder for what You have given.
and no one to bring close what You have distanced.
and no one to distance what You have brought close.
O Allah, bestow upon us Your blessings, Your mercy,
Your bounty, and Your provision.
O Allah, I ask You for lasting bliss that does not change or vanish.
O Allah, I ask You for security on the Day of Fear.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You have given us,
and the evil of what You have withheld from us.
O Allah, make faith beloved to us and adorn our hearts with it,
and make disbelief, wickedness, and disobedience hateful to us,
and make us among the rightly guided.
O Allah, let us die as Muslims,
and let us live as Muslims,
and join us with the righteous,
without disgrace or affliction.
O Allah, fight the disbelievers who deny Your messengers
and obstruct Your path.
And inflict upon them Your wrath and Your punishment.
O God of Truth.
Amen.
The return of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to Medina.
Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, departed,
returning to Medina,
and entered it on Saturday evening,
the fifteenth of the month of Shawwal,
in the third year of the Hijrah.
And Allah, the Exalted, revealed many verses from Surah Al 'Imran
concerning the events of this great expedition.
From His saying, the Exalted:
“And when thou settedst forth at daybreak from thy housefolk to assign to the believers their positions for the battle, Allah was Hearer, Knower.” (3:121)
And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

If the longing of the worlds for each other is long,
then the longing for you cannot be encompassed.
