WEBVTT

00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:03.180
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

00:00:04.009 --> 00:00:06.769
Treasures of the Seerah.

00:00:09.140 --> 00:00:11.699
The Expulsion of Banu Qurayzah.

00:00:13.980 --> 00:00:16.379
Jibril, peace be upon him, came

00:00:16.379 --> 00:00:19.059
to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:00:19.059 --> 00:00:22.079
and asked, "Have you laid down your weapons?"

00:00:22.339 --> 00:00:25.559
He replied, "Yes." Jibril said,

00:00:25.559 --> 00:00:28.579
"As for us, we have not laid down our weapons yet.

00:00:28.579 --> 00:00:31.179
Advance against these people;

00:00:31.179 --> 00:00:34.060
Allah commands you to do so."

00:00:34.079 --> 00:00:37.259
So the Prophet (peace be upon him) set forth,

00:00:37.259 --> 00:00:39.719
commanded the people, and said,

00:00:39.719 --> 00:00:42.219
"None of you should pray 'Asr

00:00:42.219 --> 00:00:44.560
except at Banu Qurayzah."

00:00:44.560 --> 00:00:46.619
The Muslims set out in prompt obedience

00:00:46.619 --> 00:00:49.280
to the command of the Prophet, peace be upon him,

00:00:49.280 --> 00:00:51.179
toward Banu Qurayzah,

00:00:51.179 --> 00:00:52.520
hastening their pace.

00:00:52.520 --> 00:00:55.579
He gave the standard to 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib,

00:00:55.579 --> 00:00:59.079
appointed Ibn Umm Maktum in charge of Madinah,

00:00:59.079 --> 00:01:01.520
and advanced until he halted at the fortresses of

00:01:01.520 --> 00:01:03.039
Banu Qurayzah,

00:01:03.039 --> 00:01:06.040
besieging them for twenty-five nights.

00:01:06.040 --> 00:01:09.040
Their chieftain, Ka'b Ibn Asad, made proposals to them,

00:01:09.040 --> 00:01:10.540
saying,

00:01:10.540 --> 00:01:12.040
"Either you embrace Islam

00:01:12.040 --> 00:01:15.540
and join Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:01:15.540 --> 00:01:17.040
in his religion;

00:01:17.040 --> 00:01:19.540
or you kill your children

00:01:19.540 --> 00:01:22.540
and go out to fight until you are all slain

00:01:22.540 --> 00:01:24.040
to the very last man;

00:01:24.040 --> 00:01:28.540
or you launch a surprise attack on the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,

00:01:28.540 --> 00:01:30.540
and his Companions on the Sabbath,

00:01:30.540 --> 00:01:33.540
when the Muslims feel secure from your harm."

00:01:33.540 --> 00:01:36.040
But they rejected all of them.

00:01:36.040 --> 00:01:37.540
Thereupon he said to them,

00:01:37.540 --> 00:01:40.040
"By Allah, you are like donkeys,

00:01:40.040 --> 00:01:42.540
accepting nothing at all!"

00:01:42.540 --> 00:01:45.540
At that point, one of them stepped forward and said,

00:01:45.540 --> 00:01:47.040
"O Messenger of Allah,

00:01:47.040 --> 00:01:50.040
we surrender to the judgment of Sa'd Ibn Mu'adh."

00:01:50.040 --> 00:01:53.040
This was because 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul,

00:01:53.040 --> 00:01:55.040
as mentioned earlier,

00:01:55.040 --> 00:01:57.540
had interceded for Banu Qaynuqa',

00:01:58.040 --> 00:02:02.040
and the Prophet (peace be upon him) had spared them for his sake.

00:02:02.040 --> 00:02:05.540
So these people sought the arbitration of Sa'd Ibn Mu'adh

00:02:05.540 --> 00:02:09.039
because he had been their ally in the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah).

00:02:09.039 --> 00:02:12.039
They said, "Perhaps he will defend us

00:02:12.039 --> 00:02:15.039
just as 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul defended

00:02:15.039 --> 00:02:17.039
Banu Qaynuqa'."

00:02:17.039 --> 00:02:20.539
Yet they did not realize the vast difference between 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul,

00:02:20.539 --> 00:02:22.539
the arch-hypocrite,

00:02:22.539 --> 00:02:24.539
and Sa'd Ibn Mu'adh,

00:02:24.539 --> 00:02:27.539
who was among the foremost of the righteous, may Allah be pleased with him.

00:02:27.539 --> 00:02:31.039
So they said, "We submit to the judgment of Sa'd Ibn Mu'adh,

00:02:31.039 --> 00:02:36.039
just as our brethren submitted to the judgment of 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul."

00:02:36.039 --> 00:02:39.039
Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ordered

00:02:39.039 --> 00:02:42.039
that Sa'd Ibn Mu'adh be brought.

00:02:42.039 --> 00:02:45.539
He had been wounded in his medial arm vein, may Allah be pleased with him.

00:02:45.539 --> 00:02:47.539
When he arrived,

00:02:47.539 --> 00:02:50.539
the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,

00:02:50.539 --> 00:02:53.039
"Stand up for your chieftain,"

00:02:53.039 --> 00:02:56.039
meaning Sa'd Ibn Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him),

00:02:56.039 --> 00:02:59.539
"and help him down from the donkey he has arrived upon."

00:02:59.539 --> 00:03:03.039
Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said,

00:03:03.039 --> 00:03:05.539
"Pass judgment upon your allies."

00:03:05.539 --> 00:03:07.539
So they began clamoring to him,

00:03:07.539 --> 00:03:10.539
"Be benevolent, O Abu 'Amr, toward your allies,

00:03:10.539 --> 00:03:12.539
just as others showed benevolence!"

00:03:12.539 --> 00:03:14.539
Thereupon Sa'd Ibn Mu'adh said,

00:03:14.539 --> 00:03:19.539
"The time has come for Sa'd not to fear, for the sake of Allah, the blame of any blamer."

00:03:19.539 --> 00:03:21.039
He then said,

00:03:21.039 --> 00:03:23.039
"My judgment concerning them is

00:03:23.039 --> 00:03:25.039
that their fighting men be executed,

00:03:25.039 --> 00:03:27.580
and their women and children be taken as captives."

00:03:27.580 --> 00:03:31.580
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,

00:03:31.580 --> 00:03:35.080
"You have judged concerning them with the judgment of Allah."

00:03:35.080 --> 00:03:37.580
So the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded

00:03:37.580 --> 00:03:39.580
the execution of their combatant men

00:03:39.580 --> 00:03:42.580
and the taking of their women and children as captives.

00:03:42.580 --> 00:03:46.139
Treasures of the Seerah.

00:03:46.139 --> 00:03:51.439
The Expedition of Banu al-Mustaliq,

00:03:51.439 --> 00:03:55.419
in the sixth year of the Hijrah,

00:03:55.419 --> 00:03:58.419
also known as the Expedition of al-Muraysi'.

00:03:58.419 --> 00:04:00.919
It took place in the sixth year,

00:04:00.919 --> 00:04:04.509
though it is also said to have occurred at the end of the fourth year of the Hijrah.

00:04:04.509 --> 00:04:06.509
The cause of this expedition was

00:04:06.509 --> 00:04:09.509
that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:04:09.509 --> 00:04:12.009
received word that the chieftain of Banu al-Mustaliq,

00:04:12.009 --> 00:04:14.009
al-Harith Ibn Abi Dirar,

00:04:14.009 --> 00:04:17.509
had rallied his people and whichever Arabs he could gather,

00:04:17.509 --> 00:04:22.009
intending to wage war against the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.

00:04:22.009 --> 00:04:25.009
So the Prophet (peace be upon him) dispatched

00:04:25.009 --> 00:04:27.009
Buraydah Ibn al-Husayb

00:04:27.009 --> 00:04:29.009
to verify the matter.

00:04:29.009 --> 00:04:32.009
He went to them, met al-Harith Ibn Abi Dirar,

00:04:32.009 --> 00:04:33.509
and spoke with him,

00:04:33.509 --> 00:04:37.009
then returned to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:04:37.009 --> 00:04:41.040
informing him that they indeed intended to fight him.

00:04:41.040 --> 00:04:44.040
Once the Prophet (peace be upon him) had verified

00:04:44.040 --> 00:04:46.040
the truth of the report,

00:04:46.040 --> 00:04:49.040
he rallied the Companions and ordered them to march forth.

00:04:49.040 --> 00:04:52.040
A group of hypocrites also marched out with him,

00:04:52.040 --> 00:04:56.040
because the hypocrites outwardly displayed Islam

00:04:56.040 --> 00:04:58.040
while concealing disbelief.

00:04:58.040 --> 00:05:01.040
When al-Harith Ibn Abi Dirar heard

00:05:01.040 --> 00:05:05.040
of the departure of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,

00:05:05.040 --> 00:05:07.040
he was gripped by severe fear,

00:05:07.040 --> 00:05:11.079
and the Arabs who were with him dispersed.

00:05:11.079 --> 00:05:14.079
When the Prophet (peace be upon him) reached

00:05:14.079 --> 00:05:16.079
al-Muraysi',

00:05:16.079 --> 00:05:18.079
which was a watering hole belonging to Khuza'ah,

00:05:18.079 --> 00:05:22.079
the banner of the Muhajirun was with Abu Bakr as-Siddiq,

00:05:22.079 --> 00:05:26.079
and the banner of the Ansar was with Sa'd Ibn 'Ubadah.

00:05:26.079 --> 00:05:29.110
Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said

00:05:29.110 --> 00:05:32.110
that no actual battle took place between them;

00:05:32.110 --> 00:05:37.110
rather, the Prophet (peace be upon him) launched a surprise raid on them at the water

00:05:37.110 --> 00:05:40.110
after most of their combatants had fled,

00:05:40.110 --> 00:05:43.110
taking their offspring captive and seizing their wealth.

00:05:43.110 --> 00:05:46.110
As recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari:

00:05:46.110 --> 00:05:51.110
"The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, raided Banu al-Mustaliq

00:05:51.110 --> 00:05:53.110
while they were heedless."

00:05:53.110 --> 00:05:56.110
Among the captives taken during this expedition was

00:05:56.110 --> 00:05:58.110
Juwayriyah bint al-Harith,

00:05:58.110 --> 00:06:00.110
the daughter of the chieftain of his people.

00:06:00.110 --> 00:06:03.110
She fell to the share of Thabit Ibn Qays,

00:06:03.110 --> 00:06:05.110
who entered into a contract of manumission (mukatabah) with her.

00:06:05.110 --> 00:06:08.110
Mukatabah means that he says to her,

00:06:08.110 --> 00:06:12.110
"You shall have your freedom provided that you pay me an amount of money,"

00:06:12.110 --> 00:06:15.110
such as one hundred or two hundred dinars,

00:06:15.110 --> 00:06:18.110
according to whatever terms they mutually agreed upon.

00:06:18.110 --> 00:06:22.110
When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, heard of that,

00:06:22.110 --> 00:06:24.110
he paid the contract amount on her behalf

00:06:24.110 --> 00:06:28.110
and then married her, peace be upon him, as a free woman.

00:06:28.110 --> 00:06:32.110
When the Muslims heard that the Prophet (peace be upon him)

00:06:32.110 --> 00:06:35.110
had married Juwayriyah,

00:06:35.110 --> 00:06:39.110
they emancipated all the captives and offspring of Banu Khuza'ah in their possession,

00:06:39.110 --> 00:06:41.110
saying,

00:06:41.110 --> 00:06:45.110
"They are the in-laws of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him."

00:06:45.110 --> 00:06:48.110
Two notable incidents involving the arch-hypocrite,

00:06:48.110 --> 00:06:51.110
'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul,

00:06:51.110 --> 00:06:53.110
occurred during that expedition.

00:06:53.110 --> 00:06:56.110
Treasures of the Seerah.

00:06:56.110 --> 00:07:05.269
“They say: Surely, if we return to Al-Madinah the mightier will soon drive out the weaker; when might belongeth to Allah and to His messenger and to the believers; but the hypocrites know not.” (63:8)

00:07:05.269 --> 00:07:09.269
'Umar Ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, had a hired worker

00:07:09.269 --> 00:07:12.269
named Jahjah al-Ghifari.

00:07:12.269 --> 00:07:17.269
Jahjah jostled with Sinan Ibn Wabr al-Juhani at the water,

00:07:17.269 --> 00:07:19.269
and they began to fight.

00:07:19.269 --> 00:07:21.269
The Juhani shouted,

00:07:21.269 --> 00:07:23.269
"O people of the Ansar!"

00:07:23.269 --> 00:07:26.269
while Jahjah shouted,

00:07:26.269 --> 00:07:28.300
"O people of the Muhajirun!"

00:07:28.300 --> 00:07:32.300
Thereupon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,

00:07:32.300 --> 00:07:36.300
"Do you invoke the slogans of Jahiliyyah while I am still among you?

00:07:36.300 --> 00:07:39.399
Leave it, for it is foul and rotten!"

00:07:39.399 --> 00:07:43.399
When 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul heard of this,

00:07:43.399 --> 00:07:44.399
he said,

00:07:44.399 --> 00:07:46.399
"Have they actually done it?

00:07:46.399 --> 00:07:50.399
They rival us and outnumber us in our own land!

00:07:50.399 --> 00:07:52.399
By Allah, the case between us and them

00:07:52.399 --> 00:07:54.399
is just as the ancient saying goes:

00:07:54.399 --> 00:07:57.399
'Fatten your dog and it will devour you!'

00:07:57.399 --> 00:08:00.399
By Allah, if we return to Madinah,

00:08:00.399 --> 00:08:03.490
“They say: Surely, if we return to Al-Madinah the mightier will soon drive out the weaker; when might belongeth to Allah and to His messenger and to the believers; but the hypocrites know not.” (63:8)

00:08:03.490 --> 00:08:07.490
Then he turned to those present with him and said to them,

00:08:07.490 --> 00:08:10.490
"This is what you have brought upon yourselves!

00:08:10.490 --> 00:08:12.490
You settled them in your land

00:08:12.490 --> 00:08:15.490
and shared your wealth with them.

00:08:15.490 --> 00:08:19.490
By Allah, had you withheld from them what is in your hands,

00:08:19.490 --> 00:08:22.490
they would have moved to a land other than yours!"

00:08:22.490 --> 00:08:26.490
Zayd Ibn Arqam, may Allah be pleased with him, overheard these words,

00:08:26.490 --> 00:08:29.490
and he was only a young boy.

00:08:29.490 --> 00:08:32.490
So he went to his uncle and informed him,

00:08:32.490 --> 00:08:36.490
and his uncle informed the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.

00:08:36.490 --> 00:08:39.490
'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, was present with him,

00:08:39.490 --> 00:08:42.490
so 'Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah,

00:08:42.490 --> 00:08:45.490
command 'Abbad Ibn Bishr to execute him!"

00:08:45.490 --> 00:08:49.490
But the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) replied,

00:08:49.490 --> 00:08:51.490
"How will it be, O 'Umar,

00:08:51.490 --> 00:08:55.490
if people say that Muhammad kills his own companions?"

00:08:55.490 --> 00:08:59.490
Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, remained silent.

00:08:59.490 --> 00:09:01.490
When the people set out on the march,

00:09:01.490 --> 00:09:04.490
Usayd Ibn Hudayr, may Allah be pleased with him, came to him,

00:09:05.490 --> 00:09:09.490
and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to him,

00:09:09.490 --> 00:09:13.490
"Have you not heard what your companion said?"

00:09:13.490 --> 00:09:16.490
He asked, "And what did he say?"

00:09:16.490 --> 00:09:19.490
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) replied,

00:09:19.490 --> 00:09:22.490
"He claims that if he returns to Madinah,

00:09:22.490 --> 00:09:25.490
“They say: Surely, if we return to Al-Madinah the mightier will soon drive out the weaker; when might belongeth to Allah and to His messenger and to the believers; but the hypocrites know not.” (63:8)

00:09:25.490 --> 00:09:28.490
Thereupon Usayd Ibn Hudayr said,

00:09:28.490 --> 00:09:31.490
"Then you, O Messenger of Allah, can drive him out of it if you wish!

00:09:31.490 --> 00:09:34.490
He, by Allah, is the humiliated one,

00:09:34.490 --> 00:09:37.490
and you, by Allah, are the mighty one."

00:09:37.490 --> 00:09:40.490
Then he said, "O Messenger of Allah,

00:09:40.490 --> 00:09:43.490
be gentle with him. By Allah, Allah brought you to us

00:09:43.490 --> 00:09:46.490
when his people were already stringing beads

00:09:46.490 --> 00:09:49.490
to crown him king, so he feels

00:09:49.490 --> 00:09:52.519
that you have stripped him of his kingdom."

00:09:52.519 --> 00:09:55.519
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, then kept marching

00:09:55.519 --> 00:09:58.519
with the people until morning came,

00:09:59.519 --> 00:10:02.519
and continued until the scorching sun began to trouble them.

00:10:02.519 --> 00:10:05.519
Then the people halted and fell fast asleep,

00:10:05.519 --> 00:10:08.519
for the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:10:08.519 --> 00:10:11.519
did not want them to talk about this matter,

00:10:11.519 --> 00:10:14.519
so he marched them until they were exhausted,

00:10:14.519 --> 00:10:17.519
so that when they finally arrived, they immediately slept.

00:10:17.519 --> 00:10:20.519
As for 'Abdullah ibn Ubayy,

00:10:20.519 --> 00:10:23.519
he learned that Zayd had informed the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:10:23.519 --> 00:10:26.519
about what had happened,

00:10:26.519 --> 00:10:29.519
so he came to the Messenger of Allah, swore an oath, and said:

00:10:29.519 --> 00:10:32.519
"By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I never said that;

00:10:32.519 --> 00:10:35.519
rather, Zayd lied about me."

00:10:35.519 --> 00:10:38.519
And those present from among the Ansar said:

00:10:38.519 --> 00:10:41.519
"O Messenger of Allah, perhaps

00:10:41.519 --> 00:10:44.519
the boy was mistaken in what he related,

00:10:44.519 --> 00:10:47.519
and did not accurately recall what the man said." And so he was believed.

00:10:47.519 --> 00:10:50.519
Zayd ibn Arqam said:

00:10:50.519 --> 00:10:53.519
"I was struck with grief such as I had never experienced before,"

00:10:53.519 --> 00:10:56.519
because he was accused of lying or misunderstanding.

00:10:56.519 --> 00:10:59.519
He said: "So I stayed in my home

00:10:59.519 --> 00:11:02.519
out of sorrow." Then Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed:

00:11:02.519 --> 00:11:05.519
"When the hypocrites come to you,

00:11:05.519 --> 00:11:08.519
they say..."

00:11:08.519 --> 00:11:11.519
“When the hypocrites come unto thee (O Muhammad), they say: We bear witness that thou art indeed Allah's messenger. And Allah knoweth that thou art indeed His messenger, and Allah beareth witness that the hypocrites indeed are speaking falsely.” (63:1)

00:11:11.519 --> 00:11:14.519
"...and Allah knows that you are indeed

00:11:14.519 --> 00:11:17.519
His Messenger, and Allah bears witness

00:11:17.519 --> 00:11:20.519
that the hypocrites are indeed liars,"

00:11:21.519 --> 00:11:24.519
up to His words, Exalted is He:

00:11:24.519 --> 00:11:27.519
"They are the ones who say..."

00:11:27.519 --> 00:11:30.519
“They it is who say: Spend not on behalf of those (who dwell) with Allah's messenger that they may disperse (and go away from you); when Allah's are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites comprehend not.” (63:7)

00:11:30.519 --> 00:11:33.519
“They it is who say: Spend not on behalf of those (who dwell) with Allah's messenger that they may disperse (and go away from you); when Allah's are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites comprehend not.” (63:7)

00:11:33.519 --> 00:11:36.519
"...and to Allah belong the treasuries

00:11:36.519 --> 00:11:39.519
of the heavens and the earth,

00:11:39.519 --> 00:11:42.519
but the hypocrites

00:11:42.519 --> 00:11:45.519
do not understand."

00:11:45.519 --> 00:11:48.519
"They say, 'If we return to Medina,

00:11:48.519 --> 00:11:51.519
the more honorable will surely expel the humbler from it.'"

00:11:51.519 --> 00:11:54.519
"Yet to Allah belongs all honor,

00:11:54.519 --> 00:11:57.519
and to His Messenger,

00:11:57.519 --> 00:12:00.519
and to the believers,

00:12:00.519 --> 00:12:03.519
but the hypocrites

00:12:03.519 --> 00:12:06.679
do not know."

00:12:06.679 --> 00:12:09.679
Here, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, made it clear

00:12:09.679 --> 00:12:12.679
that Zayd had not lied, may Allah be pleased with him;

00:12:12.679 --> 00:12:15.679
rather, he had spoken the truth in what he reported,

00:12:15.679 --> 00:12:18.679
and 'Abdullah ibn Ubayy ibn Salul

00:12:18.679 --> 00:12:21.779
was a liar in his claim.

00:12:21.779 --> 00:12:24.779
So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent

00:12:24.779 --> 00:12:27.779
for Zayd, recited it to him,

00:12:27.779 --> 00:12:30.779
and then said to him: "Indeed, Allah

00:12:30.779 --> 00:12:33.779
has vindicated you." And 'Abdullah,

00:12:33.779 --> 00:12:36.779
the son of 'Abdullah ibn Ubayy ibn Salul,

00:12:36.779 --> 00:12:39.779
was a righteous man from among the Companions of the Prophet,

00:12:39.779 --> 00:12:42.779
peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

00:12:43.779 --> 00:12:46.779
He stood up to his father

00:12:46.779 --> 00:12:49.779
upon his entry into Medina

00:12:49.779 --> 00:12:52.779
and said to him: "Are you the one who says,

00:12:52.779 --> 00:12:55.779
'If we return to Medina, the more honorable will surely expel

00:12:55.779 --> 00:12:58.779
the humbler from it,'

00:12:58.779 --> 00:13:01.779
intending the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him?

00:13:01.779 --> 00:13:04.779
By Allah, the Messenger of Allah is indeed the honorable one,

00:13:04.779 --> 00:13:07.779
and you are the humblest!"

00:13:07.779 --> 00:13:10.779
Thus the zeal for faith surpassed the bond of kinship.

00:13:10.779 --> 00:13:13.779
Then he said: "By Allah, you shall not enter Medina

00:13:13.779 --> 00:13:16.779
unless I kill you,

00:13:16.779 --> 00:13:19.779
or the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, permits you."

00:13:19.779 --> 00:13:22.779
At that point, the Prophet,

00:13:22.779 --> 00:13:25.779
peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ordered him to let him pass,

00:13:25.779 --> 00:13:28.779
and he entered Medina.

00:13:28.779 --> 00:13:31.779
In another narration, he came to

00:13:31.779 --> 00:13:34.779
the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:13:34.779 --> 00:13:37.779
and said: "O Messenger of Allah,

00:13:37.779 --> 00:13:40.779
I know that my father said such-and-such,

00:13:40.779 --> 00:13:43.779
so if you intend to kill him,

00:13:43.779 --> 00:13:46.779
let me be the one to kill him;

00:13:46.779 --> 00:13:50.480
for I fear that if I see my father's killer,

00:13:50.480 --> 00:13:53.480
I will not be able to restrain myself."
