The harm that befell me was what befell the immigrants in Mecca
This is because the Quraysh sent their knights to chase the Medina delegation after the Hajj season
In which we pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
They did not recognize anyone but me
So they took me and tied my hands around my neck
They took me back to Mecca
They gathered around me and beat me
They inflict on me whatever torment they want
Then one of them left me alone as if he had mercy on me
He said, "Woe to your hopes in Mecca, who do you seek protection from?"
I said no
However, Al-Asab Nawal was coming to us in the city and we honored him
A man from the people said, “He mentioned my cousin. I am his neighbor.”
By God, none of you will reach it
So stop me
In Medina, I put all my money into serving Islam and honoring Muslims
A man from the Ansar was heading to his home with one of the immigrants
Or two or three
I used to take all the people of Suffah to my house and honor them
They were between seventy and eighty men
I used to make porridge from meat in a jar
So he sent it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
My eyelids were going around with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the homes of all his wives
For this
I always asked my Lord for more of His goodness and provision
And I say
Oh God, give me glory
There is no glory except through action
There is no effect except with money
Oh God, a little money is not good for me
And it is not suitable for him
And I was very jealous
And people knew that from me
I have never married a woman
Except tomorrow
I have never divorced a woman
Someone dared to marry her after me
My chivalry and military experience made me serve Islam as well
It was the banner of the immigrants in the battles with Ali, may God be pleased with him
And the Ansar banner is with me
And in the Battle of Badr
When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was informed that Abu Sufyan’s caravan had been missed
He said
Advise me, people
Al-Miqdad and Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with them, spoke
And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, says
Advise me, people
So I stood up and said
God tells you that you want us, O Messenger of God
Go, O Messenger of God, for what you love
We are with you
By God, if you had ordered us to plunge our horses into the sea, we would have plunged into them
If you had ordered us to beat their livers to Barak Al-Ghamadi, we would have done so
The face of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, beamed
And when the fighting raged
I stood at the gate of Al-Arish, anxious for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Fearing that the polytheists might reach him
