The essence of the concepts of Ahl al-Sunnah.
Loyalty and disavowal are an application and an action.
Loyalty and disavowal are not merely theoretical scholarly concepts.
Rather, they are a practical application by the believer in the reality of his life.
It manifests in his behavior and state.
And the religion of Islam is entirely serious, with no jesting in it.
As Allah the Almighty says:
"Indeed, it is a decisive word, and it is not amusement."
And we are commanded to take it forcefully, as Allah the Almighty commanded.
For He said to John, peace be upon him:
"O John, take the Book with strength."
And He said to Moses, peace be upon him:
“And We wrote for him, upon the tablets, the lesson to be drawn from all things and the explanation of all things, then (bade him): Hold it fast; and command thy people (saying): Take the better (course made clear) therein. I shall show thee the abode of evil-livers.” (7:145)
"So take it forcefully and order your people to take of its best."
"I will show you the abode of the wicked."
And religion rejects the reduction of its commands to cold knowledge in abstract minds.
So when the time for application comes, they evaporate and vanish.
Thus, Islamic studies, in all their methodologies and institutions, have no value
if they do not yield action and a stance in the reality of life.
For religion was legislated for action.
And it transforms in the heart of the Muslim into a state that yields movement and stances on the ground.
Especially concerning the creed of loyalty and disavowal, which is the strongest tie of faith.
For the sake of loyalty and disavowal,
the Prophets, peace and blessings of Allah be upon them, and their followers were harmed, sometimes by killing,
sometimes by imprisonment and torture,
sometimes by exile and expulsion,
and sometimes by confiscation of wealth.
For its sake, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and his Companions were besieged in the Shi'b for three years.
For its sake, Abraham, peace be upon him, disavowed his father,
and offered himself to the fire and his son for sacrifice.
For its sake, Hud, peace be upon him, challenged his people and said:
"Indeed, I bear witness to Allah, and bear witness that I am free from whatever you associate with Him besides Him."
“Beside Him. So (try to) circumvent me, all of you, give me no respite.” (11:55)
And for the sake of loyalty and disavowal,
the Prophets and their followers abandoned their homelands, fleeing with their religion from the disbelievers.
And for its sake, the market of jihad was established to fight the enemies of Allah,
and souls and wealth were expended in it.
And sadly, we see today many people, and some students of knowledge, despite the clarity of this issue,
showing loyalty to the enemies of Allah, loving their religions and systems that oppose the law of Allah,
and supporting them against the Muslims.
And they bring forth cold interpretations and justifications for their stances.
Indeed, they go further and denounce those who apply what they have learned regarding declaring those who support polytheists against Muslims to be disbelievers.
To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.
