Surat Al-Ankabut
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
So Lot believed in him
He said that I am an immigrant to my Lord
He is the Mighty, the Wise
So Abraham, God’s friend, believed Lot
Ibrahim said
I am an immigrant from my homeland to the Levant
Indeed, my Lord is the Mighty, the One who is not humbled by His victory
The wise man is in his management of his creation
And We gave him Isaac and Jacob
And grant us prophecy and the Book among his descendants
And We gave him his wealth in this world
In the afterlife, he will be among the righteous
And We bestowed upon him from Us a son, Ishaq
After him, Jacob had a son
And grant us prophecy and the Book among his descendants
We gave him the reward for his affliction with us in this world
In the afterlife, he will also have the reward of the righteous, undiminished
And Lot when he said to his people, “You are committing indecency.”
You are committing an immoral act that no one in the world has ever done before you
And remember Lot when he said to his people, “You will come to Memorization.”
No one in the world has preceded you with immorality
Do you come to the men and block the way, and come in your evil club?
The only answer from his people was that he said, “Bring upon us the punishment of God if you are of the truthful ones.”
He said, “My Lord, grant me victory over the corrupt people.”
Do you, O people, attack men in their backs?
And you cut off travelers with your evil deeds
This is because, according to what was mentioned about them, they were doing this to the travelers who passed by them
In your gatherings, you delete those who pass by you and mock them
The response of Lot's people was nothing but that they said:
Bring us the punishment of God that will bring us back
If you are truthful in what you say and accomplished in what you promise
He said, “My Lord, grant me victory over the corrupt people.”
And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said:
They said, "We will destroy the people of this village. Its people were unjust."
And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news from God about Isaac
And behind Isaac is Jacob
God's messengers said to Abraham
We will destroy the people of this village, the village of Sodom
Its people were unjust to themselves by disobeying God
And their denial of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He said that there was Lot in it
They said, “We know who is in it.”
We will certainly save him and his family, except his wife, who was among those who died
Abraham said to the messengers from the angels
Therein is Lot, and he is not of the wrongdoers
Rather, he is one of God's messengers
The apostles said to him
We know best who are there among the wrongdoers who disbelieve in God
And Lot was not one of them
Let us save him and his family from the destruction that is befalling the people of his village
Except his wife was one of those who left behind
Who have been preserved for ages and days
Their ages and lives extended
She perished from among the people of Lot along with her people
And when our messengers came to Lot, it was bad for them
They were upset and fed up, and they said, “Do not be afraid or sad.”
And do not be sad. We will save you and your family, except your wife. She was one of those who left behind
Indeed, a calamity has befallen the people of this village
Punishment from heaven because they were defiantly disobedient
And when Our messengers came to Lot from the angels
The angels displeased him by coming to him
That is because they added it to him, so they treated him with that
They were fed up with the hospitality
For fear of what he knows of the evil of his people
The messengers said to Lot: Do not be afraid for your people to reach us
And do not be sad because we told you that we will destroy them
We will save you from torment, and we will save your family with you
Except your wife, for she will perish among those of her people who perish
She was one of the rest who lived a long time
O Lot, we will bring down upon the people of this town a torment from heaven
Because they were committing disobedience to God and committing immorality
And We have left from it a clear sign for a people who understand
We have left what we did to them as a clear example
There are arguments for people who understand God
And they reflect on his sermons
That clear sign is the pardon of their traces and the lessons of their landmarks
And to Midian, their brother Shuaib, and he said: O people of Abdullah
He said, “O my people, the servant of God and the man of the Hereafter, and do not spread corruption on earth.”
Their brother Shuaib was sent to Midian
He said to them, “O my people, worship God alone and hope that through your worship He will be rewarded on the Last Day.”
And do not multiply disobedience to God on earth
But repent to God from it and repent
So they denied him, and a tremor seized them, and they became crouched in their house
So the people of Midian Shuaib lied about the message he had given them about God
Then the trembling of torment seized them
So they sat in their house, kneeling on top of each other in death
Aad and Thamud, and their dwellings have become clear to you
Satan made their deeds seem pleasing to them, and turned them away from the path, and they were discerning
And remember, O people, Ad and Thamud
It has become clear to you from their dwellings, their desolation and emptiness
And our power comes to all of them
Satan made their disbelief in God good for them, and he returned them by beautifying it for them
They were aware of their error and admired it
They think they are right and right, but they are astray
Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman
And Moses came to them with clear proofs, but they were arrogant on earth and were not outdone
And remember, O Muhammad Qarun, Pharaoh and Haman
And Moses came to all of them with clear evidence from the verses
So they were too arrogant on earth to believe in the clear evidence from the verses
And about the followers of Moses, and they were not ahead of themselves, so they would miss us
Rather, we had power over them
We both accepted it with permission
Among them were those whom We sent as a judge against him, and among them were those who were seized by the battle
Among them were those who were seized by the cry, and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow
And among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned
It was not God who wronged them, but they wronged themselves
So we seized all these nations, O Muhammad, with our torment
Among them were those against whom We sent a judge, and they were the people of Lot
Some of them were taken by the trend
They are Thamud and Media
And among them are those whom We caused the earth to swallow
This means Qarun
Some of them drowned us
They are the people of Noah, Tharaon, and others
God would not destroy these nations because of the sins of others
He wrongs them by destroying them undeservedly
Rather, He destroyed them because of their sins and disbelief in their Lord
But they were wronging themselves by disposing of the blessings of their Lord
And they change their loyalty and worship other than Him
The example of those who have taken guardians other than God is like a spider
Like a spider that has taken up a home
The weakest of houses is the house of a spider
If only they knew
Like those who take gods and idols as guardians instead of God
They hope for its victory and benefit
Like a spider in its weakness and lack of self-deception
She made a home for herself to be her own
He was of no use to her when she needed him
So are these polytheists
He was of no use to them when God’s command came down upon them and His wrath fell upon them
Their guardians are those whom they have taken as something other than God
The weakest of houses is the house of a spider
If only those who were taken as guardians other than God
They know that it is their guardians whom they have taken instead of God
In their lack of singing about them
Like a spider's web singing about her
But they don't know that
They think that they will benefit them
God knows what they call upon other than Him
He is the Mighty, the Wise
We give these examples to people
Only those with knowledge understand it
God knows what He will call upon those nations whom We have destroyed other than Him
God Almighty will take revenge on those who disbelieve in him
The wise man is in his management of his creation
These are proverbs, similarities, and analogues
We represent it, resemble it, and demonstrate it to people
It is not possible that he was afflicted with these proverbs that we give to people, including what is right and true, as I have given him as examples
Except those who know God and His signs
God created the heavens and the earth with truth
Indeed, in that is a sign for believers
God, O Muhammad, created the heavens and the earth alone by creating them
Indeed, in his character, this is a proof for whoever believes in the proofs if he sees them
And the signs when he sees them
Read what has been revealed to you from this Qur’an
Perform the prayer that God has imposed on you within its limits
Prayer forbids indecency and evil
And God’s remembrance of you is better than your remembrance of Him
And God knows what you people do in your prayers
From establishing its boundaries and abandoning that
And other matters for you
He will reward you for that
