The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
Whoever says, "Peace be upon you" (al-salamu 'alaykum),
ten good deeds are recorded for him.
And whoever says, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" (al-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah),
twenty good deeds are recorded for him.
