I am one of the noble senior Companions.
I am the Caliph of the Muslims.
I am one of the ten promised Paradise.
I was known as Dhu al-Nurayn (the Possessor of the Two Lights).
Because I married two of the daughters of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum.
I was among the first to migrate to Abyssinia.
I inherited trade from my father.
I became wealthy and honorable.
I was generous and open-handed.
I was among the wealthiest of people.
I attained a prestigious status among my people.
And great love.
I was the wisest of the Quraysh and the soundest in judgment.
I never prostrated to an idol.
I never drank alcohol, neither in the pre-Islamic era nor in Islam.
I was also well-versed in the knowledge of the Arabs.
Such as genealogy, proverbs, and historical accounts.
I accepted Islam at the hands of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him.
I witnessed all the battles with the Prophet, peace be upon him.
It was because of me that the Pledge of Ridwan took place.
In it, the Prophet, peace be upon him, pledged on my behalf with his own hand.
I equipped the Army of Difficulty (Jaysh al-'Usrah).
I purchased the well of Rumah.
And I made it an endowment for the Muslims.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, wanted to expand the mosque.
So I bought land adjacent to the mosque.
And I gifted it to the Prophet, peace be upon him.
So he expanded his mosque.
He testified that I would be in Paradise more than once.
I am the most modest of this Ummah.
One day, I entered upon the Prophet, peace be upon him.
While his legs were uncovered.
When he saw me, he covered his legs and said:
"Should I not be shy of a man whom even the angels are shy of?"
I assumed the Caliphate after 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him.
It continued during the era of the conquests.
Until it reached its furthest extent in the east and the west.
In my era, the Muslims fought at sea.
One day,
The people of Syria and the people of Iraq gathered.
In a battle before Armenia.
They disputed regarding the Qur'an.
Until Hudhayfah Ibn al-Yaman, may Allah be pleased with them both, heard.
From their disagreement what he disliked.
He rode until he came to me and said:
"Save this Ummah before they disagree about the Qur'an,"
"As the Jews and Christians disagreed about their scriptures."
I was alarmed by that.
So I sent to Hafsah, Mother of the Believers, may Allah be pleased with her.
"Send me the manuscripts in which the Qur'an was compiled."
She sent them to me.
I commanded Zayd Ibn Thabit,
Sa'id Ibn al-'As,
'Abdullah Ibn al-Zubayr,
And 'Abd al-Rahman Ibn al-Harith Ibn Hisham,
May Allah be pleased with them,
To transcribe them into codices (Mushafs).
And I said to them:
"If you and Zayd disagree on an Arabic word,"
"Then write it in the dialect of the Quraysh,"
"For the Qur'an was revealed in their tongue."
They did so until the codices were written.
Then I returned the manuscripts to Hafsah, may Allah be pleased with her.
And I sent a codex to every region of the Muslim lands.
And I ordered them to burn every codex.
That contradicted the codex I had sent them.
