1
00:00:00,850 --> 00:00:06,150
Established Sunnahs of the Prophet:

2
00:00:06,150 --> 00:00:13,039
Reciting Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, and Surah an-Nas before going to sleep.

3
00:00:13,039 --> 00:00:16,449
Narrative on the authority of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her):

4
00:00:16,449 --> 00:00:19,449
Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)

5
00:00:19,449 --> 00:00:23,449
went to his bed every night,

6
00:00:23,449 --> 00:00:25,449
he would join his hands together,

7
00:00:25,449 --> 00:00:28,449
then lightly blow into them and recite:

8
00:00:28,449 --> 00:00:30,449
“Say: He is Allah, the One!” (112:1)

9
00:00:30,750 --> 00:00:33,750
"Say, 'He is Allah, [Who is] One,'" "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak,'"

10
00:00:33,750 --> 00:00:36,750
and "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.'"

11
00:00:36,750 --> 00:00:39,750
Then he would wipe as much of his body as he could with them,

12
00:00:39,750 --> 00:00:43,750
starting with his head, his face,

13
00:00:43,750 --> 00:00:46,750
and the front of his body.

14
00:00:46,750 --> 00:00:50,039
He would do that three times.

15
00:00:50,039 --> 00:00:52,039
Narrated by al-Bukhari.
