Established Sunnahs of the Prophet:
Reciting Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, and Surah an-Nas before going to sleep.
Narrative on the authority of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her):
Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
went to his bed every night,
he would join his hands together,
then lightly blow into them and recite:
“Say: He is Allah, the One!” (112:1)
"Say, 'He is Allah, [Who is] One,'" "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak,'"
and "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.'"
Then he would wipe as much of his body as he could with them,
starting with his head, his face,
and the front of his body.
He would do that three times.
