He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (39:53) 00:01:51.849 --> 00:01:56.849 Indeed, He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 00:01:56.849 --> 00:02:00.299 Who is it that shows mercy to those who repent, 00:02:00.299 --> 00:02:03.299 and encompasses them with His pardon and forgiveness, 00:02:03.299 --> 00:02:06.299 and He is the best of those who forgive? 00:02:06.299 --> 00:02:09.300 Who is it to whose door voices have thronged, 00:02:09.300 --> 00:02:13.300 pleading with apologies, requests, and needs, 00:02:13.300 --> 00:02:17.300 and Allah was, and ever remains, merciful regarding them? 00:02:17.300 --> 00:02:21.490 He is Allah, glory be to Him and exalted be He. 00:02:21.490 --> 00:02:23.490 He forgives the servant his sins, 00:02:23.490 --> 00:02:26.490 and conceals his faults for him. 00:02:26.490 --> 00:02:29.490 He is Allah, glory be to Him and exalted be He. 00:02:29.490 --> 00:02:32.490 The servant stands before Him, calling out to Him: 00:02:32.490 --> 00:02:34.490 "My Lord, my Lord." 00:02:34.490 --> 00:02:37.490 He calls out to Him after his sins and transgressions, 00:02:37.490 --> 00:02:40.490 and his faults and calamities, 00:02:40.490 --> 00:02:42.490 which have kept him awake in his bed. 00:02:42.490 --> 00:02:46.520 He found no refuge except in Allah, 00:02:46.520 --> 00:02:48.520 so he stands before Allah, 00:02:48.520 --> 00:02:50.520 saddened by his sins, 00:02:50.520 --> 00:02:53.520 burdened by his faults, 00:02:53.520 --> 00:02:55.520 and shackled by his transgressions, 00:02:55.520 --> 00:02:57.520 after the pleasure has faded, 00:02:57.520 --> 00:02:59.520 the desire has passed, 00:02:59.520 --> 00:03:02.520 and it has been followed by torment and humiliation. 00:03:02.520 --> 00:03:05.520 The constriction of sins has surrounded him, 00:03:05.520 --> 00:03:07.520 causing him pain and anxiety. 00:03:07.520 --> 00:03:10.520 He looked to the right and to the left, 00:03:10.520 --> 00:03:13.520 and found that his soul, which is prone to evil, 00:03:13.520 --> 00:03:14.520 had betrayed him, 00:03:14.520 --> 00:03:18.520 and that the devil had abandoned him. 00:03:18.520 --> 00:03:20.520 He found no one but his Lord. 00:03:20.520 --> 00:03:23.520 He stands before Him, apologizing, 00:03:23.520 --> 00:03:27.520 calling out to Him from the depths of his heart and soul. 00:03:27.520 --> 00:03:29.520 He calls out, "My Lord," 00:03:29.520 --> 00:03:33.520 while certain that Allah is more forbearing and more merciful, 00:03:33.520 --> 00:03:36.520 and that Allah is more faithful and more generous, 00:03:36.520 --> 00:03:40.520 and that even if his sins are great, 00:03:40.520 --> 00:03:42.520 Allah is greater, 00:03:42.520 --> 00:03:44.520 greater than everything. 00:03:44.520 --> 00:03:47.520 And even if his faults are many, 00:03:47.520 --> 00:03:49.520 Allah is more merciful, 00:03:49.520 --> 00:03:51.520 and He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Forbearing. 00:03:51.520 --> 00:03:55.740 He stands before Allah, broken, 00:03:55.740 --> 00:03:57.810 a captive, crushed, 00:03:57.810 --> 00:03:59.810 believing in his Lord, 00:03:59.810 --> 00:04:01.810 certain of His mercy. 00:04:01.810 --> 00:04:04.060 He calls out to Him: 00:04:04.060 --> 00:04:06.060 "O Lord, 00:04:06.060 --> 00:04:08.060 O Lord." 00:04:08.060 --> 00:04:10.060 And behold, Allah, the Majestic, 00:04:10.060 --> 00:04:14.060 does not look at his past misdeeds, 00:04:14.060 --> 00:04:18.060 but rather rejoices at his turning back and his repentance. 00:04:18.060 --> 00:04:20.350 The gates of heaven open, 00:04:20.350 --> 00:04:23.350 the words and supplications ascend, 00:04:23.350 --> 00:04:27.350 and they reach where Allah wills them to reach. 00:04:27.350 --> 00:04:30.350 And Allah, glory be to Him and exalted be He, calls out: 00:04:30.350 --> 00:04:32.350 "O My angels, 00:04:32.350 --> 00:04:34.350 O My angels, 00:04:34.350 --> 00:04:39.350 My servant knew that he has a Lord who punishes for sin, 00:04:39.350 --> 00:04:41.420 I have forgiven My servant." 00:04:52.699 --> 00:04:56.699 Draw closer to the Most Merciful, 00:04:56.699 --> 00:05:00.699 so that joy may embrace you. 00:05:00.699 --> 00:05:04.699 Attach your soul to your Lord, 00:05:04.699 --> 00:05:08.699 and fill the horizons with light. 00:05:08.699 --> 00:05:12.819 Everyone who obeys the Lord 00:05:12.819 --> 00:05:17.110 dissolves into the sweetest feeling. 00:05:17.110 --> 00:05:21.110 Darkness, then light, 00:05:21.110 --> 00:05:25.110 and revelation following it. 00:05:25.110 --> 00:05:33.110 If Allah wills a thing, He says to it "Be," and it is.
