In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari Surat Al-Shu'ara In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful They said, "Shall we believe in you?" and the vile people followed you Noah's people said God Do we believe in you, Noah, and acknowledge your belief? Rather, those who follow you are despicable people, not honorable people He said, “I do not know what they were doing.” Their reckoning is only with my Lord If you feel And I will not deprive the believers I am but a warner from where Noah said to his people I do not know what my followers were doing I only have the outward appearance of their affairs, not the inwardness Whoever shows goodness, I think he is good And whoever shows bad, I think bad of him The reckoning of their inner affairs rests with my Lord, if you perceive He knows the secret of their affairs and his intentions And I am not the only one who believes in God Follow me in believing in what I have brought from God I am nothing but a warner to you from your Lord I have given you a warning They said, “If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be among those who will be stoned.” He told his people If you do not stop, O Noah, from what you say and call for It shames our gods To be among the reviled He said, “My Lord, my people are lying.” So open a conquest between me and them, and save me and those who are with me from among the believers Noah said My Lord, my people are lying in the truth you have given them So judge between me and them with a ruling from you, by which the invalid will be destroyed Save me from that torment and those with me who believe in you and believe in me So We saved him and those with him in the loaded ark Then we drowned after the rest So We saved Noah and those of the believers with him in the venerable, full ark Then we drowned the rest of his people who denied him Indeed, in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers Indeed, your Lord is Almighty, Most Merciful In what we did, O Muhammad, to Noah and those of the believers with him It is a sign for you and for your people, those who believe you and those who deny you Our practice is to protect our messengers and their followers And destroy those who deny God And so is my Sunnah regarding you and your people And most of your people were not those who believed you From what was mentioned above in God’s decree, they will not believe Indeed, your Lord is Almighty in His vengeance on those who disbelieve in Him Merciful to those who repent among them When their brother Hud said to them, “Do not be fearful.” I am a faithful messenger to you So fear God and obey I do not ask you for any reward for it. My reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds The messengers of God returned to them When their brother Hud said to them, “Do you not fear God’s punishment for your disbelief in Him?” I am a messenger to you from my Lord commanding you to obey Him And he warns you of your disbelief Faithful to his revelation and message So fear God by obeying Him and adhering to what He commands you and prohibits you And obey what I command you to do regarding fearing God and warning yourself of His authority I do not ask for any reward or reward from you My reward and reward for my advice to you is only from the Lord of the Worlds Do you build with all the revenue of a sign in vain? And you establish factories that you may live forever And if you attack, you attack the tyrants Hood said to his people Shall you build a structure in every high place of the earth, over whom will you play? And you take a building as if you are immortal It is permissible for the building to be built palaces and forts It may be water outlets If you rob, you will be robbed, killed with swords, and beaten with whips So fear God and obey And fear Him who has provided you with what you know I will provide you with livestock and children Cheeks and eyes I fear for you the torment of a great day So fear God's punishment, O people By obeying Him in what He commands and prohibits you And beware of the wrath of God, who has given you from Him what you know I will help you with livestock and children Orchards and rivers I fear for you the punishment of a great day from God They said, “It is the same for us whether you preach or not.” This is nothing but the creation of the first two And we are not tormented She said: 'Ad returned to their Prophet Hud, may God bless him and grant him peace Your preaching to us and your abandonment of preaching are moderate to us We will not believe you and we will not believe you for what you have brought us What we do is nothing but a habit on our part, according to their morals and religion And God will not punish us for it But they denied him, so We destroyed them Indeed, there is a sign in that And most of them were not believers Indeed, your Lord is Almighty, Most Merciful So Aad, the Messenger of their Lord, lied as Hud So we destroyed Aad because they denied our Messenger Our destruction of Aad is a lesson and a warning to your people, O Muhammad We have destroyed more than those who believe in the foreknowledge of God Indeed, your Lord is Almighty in taking revenge on His enemies Merciful to those who believe in Him Thamud denied the messengers When their brother Saleh said to them, “Don’t you fear?” I am a faithful messenger to you So fear God and obey I do not ask you for any reward for it. My reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds Thamud lied to the messengers of God When their brother Saleh called them to God He said to them O people, do you not fear God’s punishment for your disobedience to Him? I am to you a messenger from God who sent me to you By warning you of his punishment for disobeying his order Amen to his message that he sent with me to you So fear God, O people, and beware of His punishment And I obey in warning you I do not ask you for his advice and warning of any reward or reward My reward and reward are only from the Lord of all that is in the heavens and on earth And what is between them is His creation Will you leave here safe? In gardens and eyes And crops and palm trees with digestive crops And you carve luxurious houses out of the mountains Will your Lord leave you, O people, in this world, safe and fearless? In some gardens and springs Plants and palm trees have broken-down crops, softening and moisturizing them Either by touching hands Or by riding on top of each other And you make houses in the mountains, adept at carving them Choosing where to carve it So fear God and obey And do not obey the command of the extravagant Those who make mischief on earth and do not reform So fear God’s punishment, O people, for disobeying your Lord And obey me in my advice to you If I warn you of God’s punishment, you will be guided And do not obey, O people, the command of those who are extravagant in their persistence in disobeying God They are the nine Rahat who were spreading corruption on earth with their sins They do not improve themselves by working in obedience to God They said, “You are one of those who are enchanted.” You are only a human being like us, so bring a sign If you are honest Thamud said to their Prophet Saleh, peace and blessings be upon him You are one of the created beings Those who indulge in food and drink like us You are neither a lord nor a king, so we obey you You, Saleh, are nothing but a human being like us, human beings You eat what we eat and drink what we drink So provide proof and evidence that you are right in what you say If you are among those who believe in his claim that God sent him to us He said: This is a camel, she gets to drink, and you get to drink on a specified day And do not touch her with any harm, lest the torment of a great day overtake you Saleh said, “This is a camel, people.” She has a share and a share of water, and you have the same On the day of its arrival, you are not permitted to drink anything from it And she may not drink anything of yours during your day Do not touch it with anything that would harm it, such as slander, killing, or the like Then the torment of a day, a great torment, will befall you from God So they destroyed it and became regretful Then the torment seized them. Indeed, there is a sign in that And most of them were not believers Indeed, your Lord is Almighty, Most Merciful So they slaughtered the camel, and they regretted slaughtering it Their regret did not help them And the punishment of God, which He had threatened them with, seized them and destroyed them The destruction of Thamud is a lesson for those of your people who consider it, O Muhammad Most of them will not believe in the foreknowledge of God Indeed, your Lord, O Muhammad, is Almighty in taking revenge on His enemies Merciful to those of His creation who believe in Him A people lied to the homeland of the messengers When their brother Lutan told them: Do not be fearful I am a faithful messenger to you So fear God and obey I do not ask you for any reward for it. My reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds Lutan's people denied the messengers God sent to them When their brother Lutan told them: O people, do you not fear God? I am to you a messenger from your Lord, faithful to His revelation So fear God within yourselves, lest His punishment befall you for denying His Messenger And obey what I have called you to do I do not ask you to give me any reward or reward for my advice My reward for my advice to you is only from the Lord of the worlds Do you come from the two worlds? And you leave behind what your Lord has created for you from among your wives Rather, you are a habitual people Do you marry males from among the sons of Adam? And you call on those whom your Lord created for you from among your wives Rather, you are a people who transgress what your Lord has permitted for you and made permissible for you regarding private parts To what has been forbidden to you They said: If you do not stop, O Lot, you will be among the directors He said, “I am one of those who speak to you.” Lot's people said Because, O Lot, you do not desist from our prohibition of male sexual intercourse To be among the directors from among us and our country Lot said to them I swear by your work that you do in bringing the two reminders From the haters who deny what he did Lord, save me and my family from what they do So We saved him and all his family Except an old man among those who left behind Then we destroyed the others And We rained rain upon them The rain of the warners Lot said Lord, save me and my family from your punishment So we saved him and his entire family from our punishment Except an old man among the rest As the years passed, it became old She was destroyed among the people of Lot Because she used to show her people to the guests It has been said It was said from those who left behind Because she did not die with her people in their village And that the stone struck her after she left their village with Lot and his two daughters She was one of those who remained behind after her people Then God destroyed it with the stones that rained down on the remnants of Lot’s people Then We destroyed the others of Lot's people with destruction And We rained rain upon them This is because God sent stones of shale from the sky upon them How miserable is that rain, the rain of the people who were warned by their Prophet, but they denied him Indeed, there is a sign in that And most of them were not believers Indeed, your Lord is Almighty, Most Merciful Our destruction of the people of Lot is a lesson and a warning to your people, O Muhammad Most of them were not believers before God knew Indeed, your Lord is Almighty, Most Merciful to whoever believes in Him The owners of the grove lied to the messengers When Shuaib said to them: Do not be fearful I am a faithful messenger to you So fear God and obey I do not ask you for any reward for it. My reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds The people of the grove lied, and they were the people of Media And the thorny tree Shuaib said to them: Do you not fear God’s punishment for disobeying your Lord? I am to you from God a messenger faithful to His revelation So fear God’s punishment for your disobedience to His command, and obey and be guided I do not ask you for my advice or reward My reward and reward for that is only from the Lord of the Worlds
