Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
A Concise Summary of the Prophetic biography (Seerah).
The meeting of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, with his Lord, Glorified be He, and the ordaining of the prayers.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:
"Then I was ascended until I reached a level where I could hear the scratching of the pens."
"Then Allah revealed to me what He revealed."
"He ordained fifty prayers upon me every day and night."
"I descended to Musa, peace be upon him, and he said:"
"What has your Lord ordained for your Ummah?"
"I said: Fifty prayers."
"He said: Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction."
"For your Ummah will not be able to bear that."
"I have tested the Children of Israel and experienced them."
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:
"So I returned to my Lord and said:"
"O my Lord, lighten the burden on my Ummah."
"So He reduced five from me."
"I returned to Musa and said:"
"He reduced five from me."
"He said:"
"Your Ummah will not be able to bear that."
"Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction."
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:
"I kept returning between my Lord, Blessed and Exalted be He,"
"And Musa, peace be upon him,"
"Until He said:"
"O Muhammad,"
"They are five prayers every day and night."
"For every prayer, there is the reward of ten."
"So that is fifty prayers."
"Whoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it,"
"It is recorded for him as one good deed."
"If he does it, it is recorded for him as ten."
"Whoever intends to do a bad deed but does not do it,"
"Nothing is recorded against him."
"If he does it, it is recorded as one bad deed."
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:
"I descended until I reached Musa, peace be upon him,"
"And I informed him."
"He said:"
"Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction."
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:
"I have returned to my Lord until I felt shy before Him."
