A new challenge from me
I am one of the emigrant companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the son of a noble companion
I converted to Islam and immigrated before my father. I was known for knowledge, worship, and writing hadith
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade his companions from writing down his hadith
Then he gave me permission
So I said, O Messenger of God, write down what I hear from you
He said yes
I said in satisfaction and anger
He said: Yes, I am only saying the truth
I used to fast a lot and read the Qur’an
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, recommended easing it
He said to me: Did I not tell you that you fast all the time and read the Qur’an every night?
I said, “Yes, O Prophet of God.”
I did nothing but good in return
He said: It is sufficient for you to fast three days every month
I said, O Prophet of God
I can stand better than that
He said, “Your husband has a right over you.”
I will really visit you
And your body is really on you
He fasted the fast of David, the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He was the most devout of people
I said, O Prophet of God, what is David’s fast?
He said he used to fast one day and then break his fast one day
Then he said
He read the Qur’an every month
I said, O Prophet of God
I can stand better than that
He said, so he recited it in every twenty
I said, O Prophet of God
I can stand better than that
He said, so he recited it every ten days
I said, O Prophet of God
I can stand better than that
He said, so he recited it every seven days
And recite it in three times, and do not do more than that, for your husband has a right over you, your visitor has a right over you, and your body has a right over you.
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, told me
You don't know, maybe you will live longer
I mean, it's hard for you
So I went to what the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, told me
When I grew up, I wished I had accepted the permission of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
So I started fasting the days on top of each other
Then after that I was confused about the number of those days
I used to read parts of the Qur’an as well
Sometimes more and sometimes less
However, he fulfilled it either in seven or in three
I used to say that I left the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, over a matter
I hate to disagree with others
Who am I?
