In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
A Summary of the Prophetic biography (Seerah).
The noble Prophetic lineage.
He is Muhammad, son of Abdullah, son of Abdul-Muttalib,
son of Hashim, son of Abd Manaf, son of Qusayy,
son of Kilab, son of Murrah, son of Ka'b,
son of Lu'ayy, son of Ghalib, son of Fihr,
son of Malik, son of an-Nadr, son of Kinanah,
son of Khuzaimah, son of Mudrikah, son of Ilyas,
son of Mudar, son of Nizar, son of Ma'add, son of Adnan.
This noble Prophetic lineage was mentioned
by Imam al-Bukhari in his Sahih.
This extent of his lineage, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
is agreed upon by consensus.
The consensus on this was transmitted
by Imam an-Nawawi, al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir,
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, and others.
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said:
"This lineage, which we have traced back to Adnan,
is beyond doubt or dispute."
It is established through mass transmission (tawatur) and consensus.
