Among the established Sunnahs of the Prophet:
Remembering Allah upon entering the home.
Jabir ibn 'Abdillah (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported:
I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say:
"When a man enters his house
and remembers Allah Almighty upon entering and before eating,
Satan says [to his companions]:
'You have no place to pass the night and no dinner.'
But when he enters without remembering Allah upon entering,
Satan says:
'You have found a place to pass the night.'
And if he does not remember Allah before eating,
he says: 'You have found both a place to pass the night and dinner.'"
