Allah, glory be to Him, says: "And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter—that is the [true] life, if only they knew."

Thus, life in the scale of the Shari'ah encompasses this limited, witnessed period in the world and the period of the other life which has no end, and it adds to this transient earth a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, and a Fire that accommodates the multitude of generations that have inhabited the face of the earth for thousands of years.

This is the reality of life in the consciousness of the believer in Allah and the Last Day.

As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their conception of existence and their conception of human life diminish.
