Muhammad is the Messenger
Summary of the Prophet’s biography
Quraysh sent to Abu Talim
When the Quraysh saw that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He does not blame them for anything they denied him, such as separating from them and disgracing their gods
They saw that his uncle Abu Talib had humped over him and stood beside him
He did not hand him over to them
Men from the nobles of Quraish walked to Abu Talib
Otba and Shaybah, sons of Rabia
And Abu Sufyan Ibn Harb
And Abu Al-Bakhtari Al-Aas Ibn Hisham
Al-Aswad Ibn Al-Muttalib
And Abu Jahl Omar Ibn Hisham
And Al-Walid Ibn Al-Mughirah
And his prophet and alarmist
Ibn al-Hajjaj
And Al-Aas Ibn Wael
They said, Abu Talib
Your nephew has insulted our gods and our religion
He made our dreams foolish and led our fathers astray
Either you stop it from us
As for keeping it between us and him
You are the same as we are, unlike him
Enough of you
Abu Talib said to them kindly
He gave them a nice response
So they turned away from him
Al-Hakim narrated it in his Mustadrak and authenticated it
Al-Bayhaqi on the evidence of prophecy
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said
Al-Walid Ibn Al-Mughirah came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
So he recited the Qur’an to him
It was as if he was a slave to him
This reached Abu Jahl
So he came to him and said
Uncle
Your people want to collect money for you
He said why
He said let them give it to you
You came to Muhammad to expose what came before him
He said, “The Quraysh have learned that I am one of the most wealthy among them.”
He said
So say something about it that will inform your people that you deny it
Or you hate him
He said
And what should I say?
By God, there is no man among you who is more knowledgeable about poetry than me
I do not know his anger or his poem about me
Nor with the poetry of the jinn
By God, there is no resemblance to someone who says any of this
By God, there is sweetness in what he says
And it has a coating on it
It is fruitful above and abundant below
And it is higher and higher
And it will destroy what is beneath it
He said
Your people will not be satisfied with you until you say something about it
He said
So let me think
When he thought, he said:
This magic affects
It affects him more than others
So I went down
Who created me and who created me alone?
