A new challenge from me
I am one of the female immigrant companions
I converted to Islam when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sent to Mecca
Then I migrated both times
To Abyssinia and to Medina
I prayed towards the two qiblahs
I was wise, eloquent, and bold
When we were preparing to emigrate to Abyssinia
My husband, Amer, went for some urgent needs
When Omar bin Al-Khattab came while he was still polytheist
Until he stopped
We used to face calamity and harm from him
He said: Where are you going, Umm Abdullah?
I said, “By God, we will go out to God’s land.”
You have harmed us and oppressed us
Until God gives us relief
He said, “May God be with you.”
I saw his tenderness and sadness
When my husband returned, I told him
And I told him
If you saw Omar and his tenderness and sadness for us
He said: I hope he converts to Islam
I said yes
He said: Omar will not be safe
Until Donkey delivers the letter
Because he saw his harshness and severity towards Muslims
Then the days pass
Omar, may God be pleased with him, grants peace
May God glorify Islam and Muslims through him
I was the first woman to immigrate to the city
He was the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He comes to visit us at our house
And one day
I told my son Abdullah
Here, come, I'll give you something
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me
What did you want to give him?
I said give him dates
He said: If you had not given him anything
I wrote a lie to you
