Martyrdom for the sake of God
The martyr, in language, is the present witness
According to Islamic law, he is someone who is killed in the name of God in fighting infidels
God chooses whomever He wishes from among His servants to bear witness in His cause
It was mentioned that the reason for naming the martyr was that
First, because his death for the sake of God is testimony that this religion is true
He deserves to be made clear
Secondly, because his soul witnessed Paradise before entering his body on the Day of Resurrection
Thirdly, killing him for the sake of God is a testimony to his sincerity in his love for God and his religion
Fourth, his blood serves as the signature dictated by the witness of his certainty that this debt is more precious to him than himself
Fifthly, he will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection, and he will have a witness to his killing, which is his blood
He will be resurrected and his wound will ooze blood
The color is the color of blood and the smell is the smell of musk
Sixth, the martyr is present and alive with his Lord, not dead
He bears witness to the honor God has prepared for him through killing
God Almighty said, “Do not say of those who are killed in the cause of God that they are dead.”
Rather, they are alive, but you do not perceive it
His life, we do not know its essence, but you do not perceive it
And God Almighty said, “Do not think that those who were killed in the cause of God are dead.”
Rather, they are alive and provided with their Lord
Seventh, the martyr is present with his message that remains alive on earth
All of these meanings are correct and apply to the martyr
