The proof.
Proof is that which leads to knowledge or certainty.
Every term carries three types of implications.
The first:
Implication by correspondence.
Such as the implication that one described as merciful is indeed merciful.
The second:
Implication by inclusion.
Such as the implication that one described as merciful must possess a will.
Every attribute of action implies the will through which that action is performed.
The third:
Implication by necessity.
Such as the implication that the attribute of mercy necessitates life.
For one can only be described by such an attribute if they possess life.
