He knoweth its habitation and its repository. Say: Then bring ten surahs, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful!” (11:13) 00:07:00.259 --> 00:07:05.819 And call upon whomever you can, 00:07:05.819 --> 00:07:14.060 other than Allah, if you are truthful. 00:07:14.100 --> 00:07:19.420 This Qur'an is sufficient as an argument for the truth of what you brought them. 00:07:19.420 --> 00:07:20.980 For they said, 00:07:20.980 --> 00:07:23.500 "You invented it and fabricated it." 00:07:23.500 --> 00:07:24.980 So say to them, 00:07:24.980 --> 00:07:29.420 "Then bring ten surahs like this Qur'an, fabricated." 00:07:29.420 --> 00:07:32.779 And call upon whomever you can call upon besides Allah, 00:07:32.779 --> 00:07:35.500 for that fabrication and invention, 00:07:35.500 --> 00:07:40.259 if you are truthful that Muhammad invented this Qur'an. 00:07:40.259 --> 00:07:42.420 If you are unable, 00:07:42.459 --> 00:07:45.620 then it has become clear to you that you are liars. 00:07:45.620 --> 00:07:51.129 And it was not for you to choose the verses against your Lord. 00:07:51.129 --> 00:07:53.649 If they do not respond to you, 00:07:53.649 --> 00:08:04.529 then know that it was sent down with the knowledge of Allah. 00:08:04.529 --> 00:08:08.009 “And if they answer not your prayer, then know that it is revealed only in the knowledge of Allah; and that there is no Allah save Him. (All) that they contrive here is vain and (all) that they are wont to do is fruitless.” (11:16) 00:09:12.649 --> 00:09:18.210 And void is that which they used to do. 00:09:40.019 --> 00:09:43.779 Allah has rendered it void. 00:10:11.820 --> 00:10:15.820 So do not be in doubt about it. 00:10:15.820 --> 00:10:18.820 It is the truth from your Lord, 00:10:18.820 --> 00:10:24.820 but most people do not believe. 00:10:42.590 --> 00:10:46.590 Like one who is hesitant in error. 00:10:46.590 --> 00:10:50.659 These whom I have mentioned believe and acknowledge it. 00:10:50.659 --> 00:10:53.659 If these polytheists disbelieve in it, 00:10:53.659 --> 00:10:56.659 and whoever disbelieves in this Qur'an, 00:10:56.659 --> 00:10:58.659 denying that it is from Allah, 00:10:58.659 --> 00:11:02.659 from among the factions gathered in their various creeds, 00:11:02.659 --> 00:11:05.659 then the Fire is where they will end up in the Hereafter. 00:11:05.659 --> 00:11:09.659 So do not be in doubt that the destination of those who disbelieve in the Qur'an, 00:11:09.659 --> 00:11:11.659 from among the factions, is the Fire. 00:11:11.659 --> 00:11:16.659 And that this Qur'an which We have sent down to you is from Allah. 00:11:41.259 --> 00:11:45.809 And who is more unjust 00:11:45.809 --> 00:11:48.809 than one who fabricates a lie against Allah, 00:11:48.809 --> 00:11:50.809 and lies about Him? 00:11:50.809 --> 00:11:54.809 Those will be presented before their Lord on the Day of Resurrection, 00:11:54.809 --> 00:11:58.809 and He will ask them about what they used to do in the world. 00:11:58.809 --> 00:12:01.809 And the witnesses will say, those who witnessed them, 00:12:01.809 --> 00:12:03.809 from among the angels and the prophets, 00:12:03.809 --> 00:12:07.809 "These are the ones who lied about their Lord in the world." 00:12:07.809 --> 00:12:12.809 Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the transgressors who disbelieved in their Lord, 00:12:29.220 --> 00:12:32.769 “Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah? Such will be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say: These are they who lied concerning their Lord. Now the curse of Allah is upon wrong-doers,” (11:18) 00:12:32.769 --> 00:12:35.769 who avert people from belief in Him, 00:12:35.769 --> 00:12:39.769 and seek to make the path of Allah crooked, deviating from the straight path. 00:12:39.769 --> 00:12:43.769 And they, while averting people from the path of Allah, 00:12:43.769 --> 00:12:46.769 are deniers of the Resurrection. 00:13:06.820 --> 00:13:10.820 These were not those who could escape their Lord, 00:13:10.820 --> 00:13:13.820 by fleeing from Him on earth, 00:13:13.820 --> 00:13:17.340 when He wills to punish them and take vengeance upon them. 00:13:17.340 --> 00:13:21.340 And these polytheists had no one, other than Allah, 00:13:21.340 --> 00:13:24.340 as allies to help them against Allah, 00:13:24.340 --> 00:13:28.340 or to intervene between them and Him when He punishes them. 00:13:28.340 --> 00:13:31.340 Their punishment will be increased by Allah. 00:13:31.340 --> 00:13:35.340 And they will not be able to intervene between them and Him when He punishes them. 00:13:35.340 --> 00:13:38.340 Their punishment will be increased; 00:13:38.340 --> 00:13:41.340 He will make for them two portions instead of one. 00:13:41.340 --> 00:13:45.340 They are unable to hear the truth with the hearing of one who benefits, 00:13:45.340 --> 00:13:48.340 nor do they see it with the vision of one who is guided, 00:13:48.340 --> 00:13:52.340 because of their preoccupation with the disbelief they were persisting in. 00:13:52.340 --> 00:13:58.940 Those are the ones who have lost their own souls, 00:13:58.940 --> 00:14:02.940 and what they used to invent has vanished from them. 00:14:02.940 --> 00:14:09.940 “Assuredly in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.” (11:22) 00:14:09.940 --> 00:14:15.580 These are the ones who cheated themselves out of their share of Allah's mercy, 00:14:15.580 --> 00:14:18.580 and their lies against Allah have come to nothing. 00:14:18.580 --> 00:14:22.580 Truly, these people are the greatest losers. 00:14:22.580 --> 00:14:28.320 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, 00:14:28.320 --> 00:14:38.320 “Lo! those who believe and do good works and humble themselves before their Lord: such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein.” (11:23) 00:14:38.320 --> 00:14:43.320 they will abide therein forever. 00:14:43.320 --> 00:14:46.960 Indeed, those who believed in Allah and His Messenger, 00:14:46.960 --> 00:14:49.960 and worked in the world in obedience to Allah, 00:14:49.960 --> 00:14:51.960 and humbled themselves before their Lord, 00:14:51.960 --> 00:14:54.960 these are the inhabitants of Paradise, 00:14:55.960 --> 00:14:58.960 dwelling therein without end. 00:14:58.960 --> 00:15:04.299 A summary of the Tafsir of al-Tabari.
