The reward for walking to the mosques in the dark:
On the authority of Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him),
that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Give glad tidings to those who walk to the mosques in the darkness
of complete light on the Day of Resurrection."
Reported by Abu Dawud.
This hadith highlights the virtue of attending the 'Isha and Fajr prayers in congregation.
It also encourages walking frequently to the mosques for prayer,
whether that walk through the darkness of the night is long or short.
