The Orchard of Guidance. Allah, Almighty and Glorious, said: ◁ And Allah would not punish them while you were among them ▷ “But Allah would not punish them while thou wast with them, nor will He punish them while they seek forgiveness.” (8:33) On the authority of Fudalah ibn 'Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A servant remains safe from Allah's punishment as long as he seeks Allah's forgiveness." Reported by Ahmad. Benefit: On the authority of Abu Burdah, Abu Musa said: "You used to have two safeguards among you: His saying: ◁ And Allah would not punish them while you were among them ▷." “But Allah would not punish them while thou wast with them, nor will He punish them while they seek forgiveness.” (8:33) I believe he said: "As for the Prophet (peace be upon him), he has passed away to his Lord, while seeking forgiveness remains among you until the Day of Resurrection."
