I am one of the companions of the Ansar youth
I witnessed with my father the Second Pledge of Aqaba
I was among those who witnessed it and the last of them died
Neither I nor anyone else witnessed the Battle of Badr
My father prevented me from participating in them
In order to take care of the nine sisters
But after my father was killed in Uhud
I did not miss one of the Prophet’s raids, may God bless him and grant him peace
I was very close to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I learned a lot about him
I had an episode in the Prophet’s Mosque
I know people about it and understand their religion
I participated with the Muslims in digging the trench
One day I saw that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was extremely hungry
He tied two stones to his stomach out of hunger
So I went back to my wife and told her
Do you have any food?
So she brought me a bag containing a saa' of barley
We don't have anyone else
We had a small sheep
She slaughtered the sheep and ground the barley
So we made a little food
Then I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
So I walked up to him and said
O Messenger of God, we made food for you
Come, you and one or two with you
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, shouted
He said: O people of the ditch!
Welcome to the food
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me
Don't come down at all
And do not bake your dough until I pay
When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came
To my house, I brought out the dough for him
He spat in it and blessed
Then he baptized all of us
He spat in it and blessed
The people came with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
They were a thousand men
I swear to God, they ate until they were full
Then they left
And our whole thing is filled as it is
Our dough should be baked as is
We returned from the Battle of Dhat Al-Riqa'
To Medina with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
I was walking on a skinny camel
I might get tired of walking
And I was falling behind
Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, caught up with me
Malik said
I said, O Messenger of God
This slowed me down
He said, "Ankh" and I made him ankh
And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, cursed
Then he said: Give me this stick from your hand
So I did
So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, took it
We poke the camel with it
He called me
Then he said get on
So I rode
So my camel walked a walk that he had never walked before
Then he, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me
This is for you
I said, “No, but it is yours, O Messenger of God.”
He said, "No, rather, he sold it."
I said no, it is yours
He said: No, but sell it for an ounce of gold
So I sold the camel to him
I would hand him over to him in the city
When we arrive
When we reached the city, I brought him the camel
Then he said: Do you see me taking it?
Your camel Take your camel and your dirhams
They are yours
The camel remained with me during the time of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
And Abu Bakr and Omar
He was unable, so I brought him to Omar
So he knew his story
He said, “Put it in the camels of charity.”
And in the best pastures
I told him that until the camel died
The Messenger of God asked forgiveness for me
May God bless him and grant him peace one night
This camel is twenty-five
