00:00:00.400 --> 00:00:04.879
Bustan al-Huda (The Garden of Guidance).

00:00:04.879 --> 00:00:08.000
Allah, Almighty and Glorious, said:

00:00:08.000 --> 00:00:22.980
“O mankind! worship your Lord, Who hath created you and those before you, so that ye may ward off (evil).” (2:21)

00:00:22.980 --> 00:00:26.980
And His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

00:00:26.980 --> 00:00:29.179
"O humanity!

00:00:29.179 --> 00:00:33.179
Indeed, Allah, Almighty and Glorious, commands you to worship Him."

00:00:33.179 --> 00:00:36.179
“And serve Allah. Ascribe no thing as partner unto Him. (Show) kindness unto parents, and unto near kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and unto the neighbour who is of kin (unto you) and the neighbour who is not of kin, and the fellow-traveller and the wayfarer and (the slaves) whom your right hands possess. Lo! Allah loveth not such as are proud and boastful,” (4:36)

00:00:36.179 --> 00:00:38.369
Reported by Ahmad.

00:00:38.369 --> 00:00:41.100
A point of benefit:

00:00:41.100 --> 00:00:44.740
The first call in the Noble Qur'an

00:00:44.740 --> 00:00:46.740
was addressed to all of humanity,

00:00:46.740 --> 00:00:49.740
and it encompassed a command to worship—

00:00:49.740 --> 00:00:51.740
worshipping the Lord of the worlds,

00:00:51.740 --> 00:00:53.740
Who created, multiplied,

00:00:53.740 --> 00:00:55.740
provided, and bestowed goodness.

00:00:55.740 --> 00:00:57.740
Thus, He alone is the Creator worthy of worship,

00:00:57.740 --> 00:01:01.740
and there is no deity for whom worship is suitable other than Him.

00:01:01.740 --> 00:01:04.030
The essence of worship

00:01:04.030 --> 00:01:07.030
is submission and humility before Allah,

00:01:07.030 --> 00:01:11.030
such that the servant carries out what his Lord, Exalted is His Majesty, has commanded him

00:01:11.030 --> 00:01:13.030
and leaves what He has forbidden him,

00:01:13.030 --> 00:01:16.030
without following desire

00:01:16.030 --> 00:01:19.030
or seeking judgment from anything other than divine revelation.
