The Battle of Ibn al-Nadir
It was in Rabi` al-Awwal of the fourth year of the Hijra
The reason for this invasion differed as follows
The first reason
Collect the blood money for the two dead
Ibn Ishaq said
Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out to Ibn al-Nadir
He seeks their help in paying the blood money for those two dead men from Bani Amer
Who killed Omar bin Umayyah Al-Damri, may God be pleased with him
For the neighborliness with which the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was a contract
As Yazid bin Roma told me
There was a contract and an oath between Ibn al-Nadir and Ibn Amir
When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to them
He seeks their help in paying blood money for those two dead people
They said yes, Abu Al-Qasim
We help you with what you like and what you asked us for help with
Then they were alone with each other and said
You will not find a man like this
The Messenger of God was sitting next to a wall of their houses
Who is the man who rises above this house?
He throws a rock at it and relieves us of it
Omar ibn Jahash ibn Ka'b, one of them, was appointed for this purpose
So he said I am
So he went up to throw a rock at him, as he said
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was with a group of his companions
Among them are Abu Bakr, Omar, and Ali, may God be pleased with them
Then the news came from the sky to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
What the people wanted
So he got up and went back to the city
When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, stayed with his companions
They asked for it
They found a man coming from the city
So they asked him about him
He said: I saw him entering the city
So the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, approached
Until they reached him
So he told them the news
Because the Jews wanted to betray him
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded
By preparing for their war and marching to them
The second reason
Betrayal of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his killing
Narrated by Abu Dawud in his Sunan
And Abd al-Razzaq al-San’ani in his work with an authentic chain of narration
The pronunciation is by Abdul Razzaq
On the authority of a man from the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said:
The infidels of Quraysh
They wrote to Abdullah bin Abi bin Salul
And those with him worship idols from Aws and Khazraj
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was at that time in Medina before the battle of Badr
They say
You have given shelter to our friend
You are the most numerous people in the city
And we swear to God
To kill him or to expel him
Or we will seek help from the Arabs
Then we will march to you all together
Until we kill your female fighter and make your women permissible
When this reached Abdullah bin Ubayy and those who worshiped idols with him
They corresponded and met
They gathered to fight the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions
When this reached the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
He found them in a group
And he said
The Quraysh's threats against you have reached extreme levels
She would not plot against you more than you want to plot against yourselves
You want to kill your sons and brothers
When they heard that from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
They dispersed
This reached the infidels of Quraysh
It was the Battle of Badr
After the Battle of Badr, the infidels of Quraish wrote to the Jews
You are the people of the circle and the fortresses
And you will fight our friend
Or let's do this and that
Nothing will come between us and your women's servants
When their letter reached the Jews
Ibn al-Nadir agreed on treachery
So it was sent to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
Come out to us with thirty of your companions
Let us go out in thirty ink
That is, one of our scholars
Until we meet in such and such place
Arranged between us and you
And they hear from you
If they believe you and believe in you
We all believed
Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, left
In thirty of his companions
Thirty Jewish rabbis came out to him
Even if they emerge in feces from the ground
Some Jews said to each other
How do you get to him?
With him were thirty men of his companions
They all like to die without him
So they sent to him
How to understand and understand
We are sixty men
Go out with three of your friends
Three of our scholars will come out to you
Let them hear from you
If they believe in you
We all believed and believed you
So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, left
In three of his companions
They included daggers
They wanted to kill the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
A woman was sent as an advisor from Ibn al-Nadir
To her nephews
He is a Muslim man from the Ansar
So I told him the news of what Ibn al-Nadir wanted
From betrayal of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Her brother came quickly
Until the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, realized
He informed him of their news before the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, reached them
Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, returned
So when it was tomorrow
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, attacked them with battalions and besieged them
Al-Hafiz said in Al-Fath
This is stronger than what Ibn Ishaq mentioned
From that reason for the Battle of Ibn al-Nadir
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, asked him to help him pay the blood money for the two men
But Ibn Ishaq and most of the people of Maghazi agreed
And God knows best
