while we are overcome by zeal,

and humbled by emotion.

What is the way forward?

The way forward

is to translate Islam into practical books

and applied lectures.

For we have grown weary of talk,

and people have grown tired of words poured out

without notable deeds

or tangible Prophetic characteristics.

Let religion be something we can feel,

something tasted in character, interaction, and upbringing.

Let us show mercy to the poor,

be patient with the ignorant,

and endure the common folk and the rabble.

These are the true servants of the Most Merciful.
