Pause. Learn about the Companions, the scholars, and the most eminent among them. A new challenge: Who am I? I am one of the senior Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. I am among the foremost of those who were the first to embrace Islam. My name was used as a proverb for good looks and physical beauty. The angel Gabriel, peace be upon him, would sometimes descend in my likeness. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, sent me with a letter to Caesar, the King of Rome. His name was Heraclius. I stood at his gate. I said, "I am the messenger of the Messenger of Allah." They were alarmed by this. I entered his presence and delivered the letter to him. Heraclius questioned me about the Prophet. Until the truth of his prophethood was established for him. He intended to embrace Islam. But the Romans did not agree with him. And he feared for his kingdom because of them. So he held back and did not accept Islam. So, who am I?
