And Allah knoweth that thou art indeed His messenger, and Allah beareth witness that the hypocrites indeed are speaking falsely.” (63:1) 00:00:54.759 --> 00:00:58.759 Whether the hypocrites say this or not. 00:00:58.759 --> 00:01:04.760 Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars in their claims about themselves. 00:01:04.760 --> 00:01:08.760 This is because they do not truly believe that, nor do they have faith in it. 00:01:08.760 --> 00:01:13.459 Thus, they are liars in their report about themselves regarding this. 00:01:13.459 --> 00:01:21.459 They have taken their oaths as a shield, so they obstruct others from the path of Allah. 00:01:21.459 --> 00:01:29.040 Indeed, evil is what they have been doing. 00:01:29.040 --> 00:01:35.040 The hypocrites have taken their oaths as a shield and a cover to hide behind. 00:01:35.040 --> 00:01:39.040 Through these, they protect themselves, their offspring, and their wealth. 00:01:39.040 --> 00:01:42.040 And they use them to ward off harm from themselves. 00:01:42.040 --> 00:01:48.040 Thus, they have turned away from the religion of Allah, with which He sent His Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. 00:01:48.040 --> 00:01:51.040 And from the law He prescribed for His creation. 00:01:51.040 --> 00:01:56.040 Indeed, these hypocrites who have taken their oaths as a shield. 00:01:56.040 --> 00:02:01.040 Evil is what they have been doing in this world by taking their oaths as a shield. 00:02:01.040 --> 00:02:06.040 Due to their lying, hypocrisy, and other such matters. 00:02:06.040 --> 00:02:20.620 “That is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed so that they understand not.” (63:3) 00:02:20.620 --> 00:02:28.669 Indeed, evil is what these hypocrites have been doing, those who took their oaths as a shield. 00:02:28.669 --> 00:02:31.669 This is because they believed in Allah and His Messenger. 00:02:31.669 --> 00:02:35.669 Then they disbelieved through their doubt and their denial of it. 00:02:35.669 --> 00:02:40.669 So Allah has set a seal upon their hearts, blocking them from faith. 00:02:40.669 --> 00:02:45.669 They cannot distinguish right from wrong, nor truth from falsehood. 00:02:45.669 --> 00:02:48.669 Because Allah has sealed their hearts. 00:02:48.669 --> 00:02:54.629 “And when thou seest them their figures please thee; and if they speak thou givest ear unto their speech. (They are) as though they were blocks of wood in striped cloaks. They deem every shout to be against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah confound them! How they are perverted!” (63:4) 00:03:08.629 --> 00:03:11.629 They are the enemy, so beware of them. 00:03:11.629 --> 00:03:15.629 May Allah destroy them. 00:03:15.629 --> 00:03:21.659 How are they deluded? 00:03:21.659 --> 00:03:25.659 And when you see these hypocrites, O Muhammad. 00:03:25.659 --> 00:03:27.659 Their bodies please you. 00:03:27.659 --> 00:03:30.659 Because of their well-proportioned forms and handsome appearance. 00:03:30.659 --> 00:03:33.689 And if they speak, you listen to their speech. 00:03:33.689 --> 00:03:37.689 Their logic resembles the logic of people. 00:03:37.689 --> 00:03:41.689 Yet these hypocrites are like propped-up timber. 00:03:41.689 --> 00:03:45.689 They possess no goodness, no understanding, and no knowledge. 00:03:45.689 --> 00:03:48.689 They are merely images without substance. 00:03:48.689 --> 00:03:51.689 And phantoms without intellect. 00:03:51.689 --> 00:03:54.689 These hypocrites think, due to their wickedness. 00:03:54.689 --> 00:03:57.689 And their evil suspicion and lack of certainty. 00:03:57.689 --> 00:04:00.689 That every shout is directed against them. 00:04:00.689 --> 00:04:03.689 Because they are in constant fear that Allah might reveal something about them. 00:04:03.689 --> 00:04:06.689 A matter that would tear away their veils and expose them. 00:04:06.689 --> 00:04:09.689 And permit the believers to kill them. 00:04:09.689 --> 00:04:12.689 And take their offspring captive and seize their wealth. 00:04:12.689 --> 00:04:14.689 So, out of their fear of that. 00:04:14.689 --> 00:04:18.689 Every time a revelation from Allah descends upon His Messenger. 00:04:18.689 --> 00:04:22.689 They think it has come to bring about their destruction and ruin. 00:04:22.689 --> 00:04:25.689 They are the enemy, O Muhammad, so beware of them. 00:04:25.689 --> 00:04:29.689 For when they meet you, their tongues are with you. 00:04:29.689 --> 00:04:32.689 But their hearts are against you, with your enemies. 00:04:32.689 --> 00:04:35.689 They are spies for your enemies against you. 00:04:35.689 --> 00:04:37.689 May Allah disgrace them. 00:04:37.689 --> 00:04:42.709 How are they turned away from the truth? 00:04:42.709 --> 00:04:46.709 “And when it is said unto them: Come! Lo!
