Some of them hit the top and some the bottom
And those at the bottom of it would draw from the water
They passed by those above them
And they said
If we had violated our lot
We did not harm those above us
If they leave them and do not want
They perished and were all destroyed
Even if they take it into their hands
They all survived
One day, the poet Al-Asha came to me while he was sick
I am the guardian of Hams
So I told him
How old are you?
He said
To reach me, preserve my kinship, and finish my hands
So I said
I swear I don't have what you want
But I'll ask you people something
Then I got up and went up to the pulpit
Then I said, O people of Hamas
This is your cousin from Iraq
It will benefit you somewhat
So what do you see?
And they said
Be wise with our money
So I refused them
And they said
We have taken control of our money
From each man, two dinars
There were twenty thousand men in the court
So I took forty thousand dinars from the treasury for him
When I left, I gave them
Two dinars were dropped from each man's contribution
