00:08:57.009 --> 00:08:59.509 nor will any kinfolk defend them 00:09:00.009 --> 00:09:02.509 to rescue them from the retribution of Allah, 00:09:03.009 --> 00:09:05.509 nor will their deeds be of any help to them; 00:09:05.509 --> 00:09:08.009 rather, they will turn into deep regrets for them. 00:09:08.509 --> 00:09:11.009 Thus, all the means and reliances of the disbelievers will be severed. 00:09:11.509 --> 00:09:14.100 And those who followed will say, 00:09:14.600 --> 00:09:20.100 “And those who were but followers will say: If a return were possible for us, we would disown them even as they have disowned us. What! Deaf, dumb, blind, therefore they have no sense.” (2:171) 00:13:13.419 --> 00:13:20.919 Deaf, dumb, and blind, so they do not understand. 00:13:21.419 --> 00:13:25.720 The parable of calling the disbelievers to admonition, and their admonisher, 00:13:26.220 --> 00:13:29.720 is like a shepherd shouting to his flock and calling out to them: 00:13:30.220 --> 00:13:33.720 they hear his call and cry, but do not comprehend his words. 00:13:34.220 --> 00:13:39.720 Or the likeness of the disbelievers in their utter lack of understanding from Allah and His Messenger 00:13:40.220 --> 00:13:42.720 is like cattle that are merely shouted at, 00:13:42.720 --> 00:13:46.220 comprehending nothing of command or prohibition except a mere voice. 00:13:46.720 --> 00:13:51.220 These disbelievers are deaf to the truth, so they do not hear; 00:13:51.720 --> 00:13:55.220 dumb, unable to speak the truth, righteousness, or to confess 00:13:55.720 --> 00:13:58.220 what Allah has commanded them to affirm 00:13:58.720 --> 00:14:05.220 and to clarify what Allah ordered them to make known concerning the affair of Muhammad (peace be upon him) to mankind; 00:14:05.720 --> 00:14:10.220 blind to guidance and the path of truth, so they cannot perceive it; 00:14:10.720 --> 00:14:12.220 thus they do not understand. 00:14:12.720 --> 00:14:19.419 “O ye who believe! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (2:173) 00:16:00.179 --> 00:16:01.679 or is coerced into eating it, 00:16:02.179 --> 00:16:03.679 there is no consequence upon him for consuming it, 00:16:03.679 --> 00:16:05.179 nor any blame, 00:16:05.679 --> 00:16:07.179 provided he does not eat it out of transgression, 00:16:07.679 --> 00:16:09.179 seeking what has been prohibited to him, 00:16:09.679 --> 00:16:11.179 nor exceeding the limit in his eating 00:16:11.679 --> 00:16:13.179 while he has a way to avoid it 00:16:13.679 --> 00:16:15.179 through that which Allah has made lawful for him, 00:16:15.679 --> 00:16:17.179 finding an alternative or sufficiency elsewhere. 00:16:17.679 --> 00:16:19.179 Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving: 00:16:19.679 --> 00:16:21.179 if you obey Allah in your Islam, 00:16:21.679 --> 00:16:24.179 refraining from consuming what He has forbidden to you, 00:16:24.679 --> 00:16:27.179 and abandoning following Satan 00:16:27.679 --> 00:16:29.179 in what you used to make unlawful 00:16:29.679 --> 00:16:31.179 during your pre-Islamic days of ignorance, 00:16:31.179 --> 00:16:32.679 He will pardon you; 00:16:33.179 --> 00:16:34.679 and He is Merciful to you 00:16:35.179 --> 00:16:36.679 if you obey Him. 00:16:37.429 --> 00:16:39.929 "Indeed, those who conceal..." 00:16:40.429 --> 00:16:42.929 “Lo! those who hide aught of the Scripture which Allah hath revealed and purchase a small gain therewith, they eat into their bellies nothing else than fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He make them grow. Theirs will be a painful doom.” (2:174) 00:16:43.429 --> 00:16:47.929 “Lo! those who hide aught of the Scripture which Allah hath revealed and purchase a small gain therewith, they eat into their bellies nothing else than fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He make them grow. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He make them grow. Theirs will be a painful doom.” (2:174) 00:17:39.849 --> 00:17:41.349 what they consume in bribes for that 00:17:41.849 --> 00:17:45.349 and wages will only lead them into the Fire. 00:17:45.849 --> 00:17:49.349 He will not speak to them with what they love and desire, 00:17:49.849 --> 00:17:52.349 but only with what distresses and repulses them. 00:17:52.849 --> 00:17:55.349 Nor will He cleanse them from the filth of their sins 00:17:55.349 --> 00:17:56.849 and their disbelief, 00:17:57.349 --> 00:17:59.849 and they shall have an agonizing torment. 00:18:00.599 --> 00:18:05.420 "Those are the ones who have purchased error at the price of guidance 00:18:05.920 --> 00:18:08.420 and torment at the price of forgiveness." 00:18:08.920 --> 00:18:13.420 “Those are they who purchase error at the price of guidance, and torment at the price of pardon. How constant are they in their strife to reach the Fire!” (2:175) 00:18:13.920 --> 00:18:18.970 Those are the ones who took misguidance and abandoned guidance, 00:18:19.470 --> 00:18:22.970 who took what entails Allah's punishment on the Day of Resurrection, 00:18:22.970 --> 00:18:26.470 and abandoned what entails His forgiveness and pleasure. 00:18:26.970 --> 00:18:29.470 How audacious they are in facing the torment of the Fire, 00:18:29.970 --> 00:18:32.470 and how persistently they perform the deeds of its inmates! 00:18:50.990 --> 00:18:53.490 This which these rabbis did— 00:18:53.990 --> 00:18:55.490 from among the Jews— 00:18:55.990 --> 00:19:00.490 by concealing from the people what they concealed regarding the matter of Muhammad (peace be upon him) 00:19:00.990 --> 00:19:02.490 and his prophethood, 00:19:02.990 --> 00:19:04.490 and by defying My command and obedience to Me, 00:19:04.990 --> 00:19:07.490 along with My preparation of painful punishment for them, 00:19:07.990 --> 00:19:10.490 is because I sent down My Book in truth, 00:19:10.990 --> 00:19:13.490 yet they disbelieved in it and disputed over it. 00:19:13.990 --> 00:19:16.490 For the Jews disbelieved in what Allah recounted in it 00:19:16.990 --> 00:19:19.490 of the stories of 'Isa ibn Maryam and his mother, 00:19:19.990 --> 00:19:22.490 while the Christians believed in some of that 00:19:22.490 --> 00:19:23.990 and disbelieved in other parts. 00:19:24.490 --> 00:19:28.990 And indeed, those who disputed concerning what I have revealed to you, O Muhammad, 00:19:29.490 --> 00:19:32.990 are in deep schism and divergence from the truth, 00:19:33.490 --> 00:19:35.990 far removed from right guidance and correctness.
