He told me
You achieved what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, wanted
This remained in his heart
When Omar, may God be pleased with him, assumed the caliphate
Use me on the treasury
And he said
I have never seen anyone more afraid of God than you
He told me too
If you have a history in Islam
I didn't introduce anyone to you
The Commander of the Faithful was Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him

And he fulfills what he owes
Then when Othman, may God be pleased with him, took charge
Give me permission to take over the Muslim treasury

Then I sue him like I used to do with Omar
Then I asked him to exempt me from keeping the treasury
So he excused me
He ordered me to give
Its amount is thirty thousand dirhams
I did not accept it
And I said
I worked for God
Rather, my reward is due to God
