Machiavellianism
It was named after Machiavelli, the author of The Prince in the year one thousand five hundred and thirteen AD
It is considered the first seed paving the way for secularism
In his aforementioned book, Machiavelli explicitly called for the exclusion of religion from governance and politics
He identified three fundamental foundations derived from a purely non-religious perception
Firstly, man is evil by nature and his desire for good is artificial to achieve his own benefit only
Therefore, in his view, there is no embarrassment regarding this inherent nature and no blame for being carried away by it
Secondly, completely separating politics, religion and morality and confirming that there is no connection between them
He did not deny religion and morality in and of themselves
But he made it impossible for the ruling to adhere to their controls
For him, religion and morals are limited to individuals
Thirdly, the end justifies the means
This is his practical rule that is an alternative to religion and morality
Machiavellianism became known and became famous
In fact, it is just one of its three foundations
It's not all Machiavellianism
