(the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware.” (2:158) 00:01:28.519 --> 00:01:30.590 Then he said: 00:01:30.590 --> 00:01:33.590 'I begin with that which Allah began with.' 00:01:33.590 --> 00:01:35.590 So he began with al-Safa, 00:01:35.590 --> 00:01:38.590 Ascending it until he could see the House. 00:01:38.590 --> 00:01:40.590 He faced the Qiblah, 00:01:40.590 --> 00:01:43.590 Declared the oneness of Allah, magnified Him, and said: 00:01:43.590 --> 00:01:47.590 'There is no god but Allah alone, having no partner. 00:01:47.590 --> 00:01:50.590 “All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things.” (64:1) 00:01:50.590 --> 00:01:53.590 To Him belongs all dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things omnipotent. 00:01:53.590 --> 00:01:56.590 There is no god but Allah alone. 00:01:56.590 --> 00:01:58.590 He fulfilled His promise, 00:01:59.590 --> 00:02:02.650 Granted victory to His servant, and defeated the confederates alone.' 00:02:02.650 --> 00:02:04.650 Then he supplicated in between that, 00:02:04.650 --> 00:02:07.650 Saying the like of this three times. 00:02:07.650 --> 00:02:09.650 He then descended toward al-Marwah, 00:02:09.650 --> 00:02:13.650 And when his feet reached the bottom of the valley, he ran briskly; 00:02:13.650 --> 00:02:16.650 Then, when he ascended, he walked, 00:02:16.650 --> 00:02:18.650 Until he reached al-Marwah. 00:02:18.650 --> 00:02:22.650 He then did on al-Marwah just as he had done on al-Safa." 00:02:22.650 --> 00:02:25.810 And the two Sheikhs recorded in their Sahih collections 00:02:25.810 --> 00:02:28.810 From Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: 00:02:28.810 --> 00:02:31.810 "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) circumambulated the House 00:02:31.810 --> 00:02:33.810 When he arrived in Mecca; 00:02:33.810 --> 00:02:36.810 He touched the corner first, 00:02:36.810 --> 00:02:39.810 Then trotted briskly for three circuits out of the seven, 00:02:39.810 --> 00:02:42.810 And walked for four circuits. 00:02:42.810 --> 00:02:45.810 Then, when he completed his circumambulation of the House, 00:02:45.810 --> 00:02:47.810 He prayed two units of prayer at the Station. 00:02:47.810 --> 00:02:50.810 He then pronounced the salutation and departed, 00:02:50.810 --> 00:02:52.810 Proceeded to al-Safa, and performed circumambulation at al-Safa, 00:02:52.810 --> 00:02:55.810 Performing seven circuits between al-Safa and al-Marwah." 00:02:55.810 --> 00:02:59.039 And the two Sheikhs recorded in their Sahih collections 00:02:59.039 --> 00:03:02.039 From Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: 00:03:02.039 --> 00:03:05.039 "I never saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) 00:03:05.039 --> 00:03:08.039 Touch any part of the House 00:03:08.039 --> 00:03:11.159 Except the two Yamani corners." 00:03:11.159 --> 00:03:14.159 Imam Ahmad recorded in his Musnad, 00:03:14.159 --> 00:03:17.159 As did Abu Dawud in his Sunan— 00:03:17.159 --> 00:03:20.159 With the wording belonging to Ahmad, through a good chain of transmission— 00:03:21.159 --> 00:03:24.159 On the authority of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: 00:03:24.159 --> 00:03:27.159 "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) 00:03:27.159 --> 00:03:30.159 Saying between the Yamani Corner and the Black Stone: 00:03:30.159 --> 00:03:33.159 “And of them (also) is he who saith: "Our Lord!
