Worship and caliphate on earth
Caliphate on earth and rebuilding it as God intended is worship of God
The ruling, analysis, and prohibition must be for God Almighty alone
This is why Adi bin Hatim’s understanding, may God be pleased with him, fell short of this meaning
He was a Christian before his conversion to Islam
He was amazed at what God Almighty said
They took their rabbis and monks as lords instead of God
He said, O Messenger of God, they were not worshiping them
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said yes
But they make lawful for them what God has forbidden, so they make it lawful
They prohibit for them what God has permitted, so they prohibit it
This is their worship
