From the aesthetics of the Prophetic biography (Seerah).
Legitimate anger.
Among the methodological and ethical controls.
Is that anger must be for the sake of Allah.
When sacred boundaries are violated.
And not for one’s own personal objectives or desires.
This is how the Prophet, peace be upon him, taught his Companions.
He was among the gentlest of people.
He would neither become angry nor strike anyone.
Unless the sacred laws were infringed upon.
Therefore, when a woman from the Makhzum tribe stole during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.
During the Conquest of Makkah.
Her people rushed to Usamah ibn Zayd to intercede for her.
Urwah said.
When Usamah spoke to him regarding her.
The face of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, changed color.
He said, "Are you interceding regarding one of the prescribed punishments of Allah?"
What provoked him here was the violation of the sacred boundaries.
And the intercession for a woman of high status among them.
He did not show favoritism to his beloved Usamah, the son of his beloved.
So Usamah said.
"Ask forgiveness for me, O Messenger of Allah."
When evening came.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stood to deliver a sermon.
He praised Allah as He deserves to be praised.
Then he said.
"To proceed."
"Those before you were destroyed only because."
"When a noble person among them stole, they would let him go."
"And when a weak person among them stole, they would carry out the punishment upon him."
"By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad."
"If Fatimah, the daughter of Muhammad, were to steal."
"I would cut off her hand."
Then the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, gave the order.
Regarding that woman.
And her hand was cut off.
Her repentance was sincere after that, and she married.
Aisha said.
She would come after that.
And I would present her needs to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.
People expected that Usamah’s closeness to him.
Would soften him and make him lenient.
But they forgot that such mercy and gentleness.
Do not apply in this context.
That is why he became angry at him and rebuked him.
"Are you interceding regarding one of the prescribed punishments of Allah?"
He used his own daughter as an example to demonstrate his sincerity.
And he warned against the danger of favoritism.
And that it is one of the causes of destruction.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, specifically singled out.
His daughter Fatimah for mention.
Because she was the dearest of his family to him.
And because none of his other daughters remained at that time.
He intended to emphasize the implementation of the law upon every accountable person.
And to abandon favoritism in that regard.
Furthermore, the name of the thief coincided with hers, peace be upon her.
So it was appropriate to use her as an example.
And he was the quickest of people to comply with the law.
And Allah is the Grantor of success.
